Hi

I've got a Service that get ACK Messages originated by another system.

I want to get the details of a Message when the ACK is CE (Failed Message).

I don't know whether this is the best approach but, at the moment, I have a DTL and I would like to search the Cache Database for a Message with the Control ID on the ACK in the MSA segment.

Any help with this would be great.

Because I had no idea how to build an integration solution for HL7 and didn't know where to start, I decided to follow the course Building Basic HL7 Integrations with InterSystems on Learning portal to get at least the idea of where to begin. What is the recommended approach to handle the following scenario: Large number of HL7 messages are serviced via Ensemble. Those messages are then transformed and routed to an Operation which calls a web service which does a number of different activities. If will do address normalization, location geo coding, MPI lookup and resolution, and insert into a SQL Server database to stage for an analytics product. Unfortunately all of this work takes time and the first thing that happens in the web service is a lock taken out on the Patien in SQL Server.

What is the best way to create an HL7 message from JSON input file?

We have JSON file available with data required for building the HL7 message . I am trying to use a standard file/FTP Business service to pick up the file and convert the input %FileCharacterStream into a dynamic Object and use the stand JSON features to read /process the data and build the HL7 message.

Is there any other better way to do this? or any standard built-in functionality available in HealthShare?

We are seeing ERROR #5002: Cache error: <MAXSTRING>zSaveData+14 ^EnsLib.HL7.Segment.1 come up on a Routing rule when we are trying to Encoded PDF's through a DTL. In the DTL we are copying source to target. Is there a limitation on trying to copy source to target?

At the bottom of the DTL you are see that we commented out converting the Encoded PDF to a Stream, is it recommended that we always use %Stream anytime we are dealing with PDF's?

I have a vendor that is sending an HL7 message. But when I asked for more detail about their mapping tables, they told me they typically don't supply that but supply an API for customers to call so they don't have to define tables and it is more dynamic.

So with that being said I am creating my first REST operation. I understand the gist of how a REST operation works in working with other types out Non HL7 Operations (SOAP, SQL) before. You send a request and get a response back, that part I understand.

Introduction

Say you have a receiving system that accepts HL7 and provides error messages in field ERR:3.9 in the ACK it returns. You require a different reply code action depending on the error message, however the Reply Code Actions settings for the operation do not provide this level of granularity. One option could be to create a process that takes the ACK and then completes the action you were expecting, however things can get a bit messy if the action is to retry the message, especially when trying to view a message trace.

I am trying to create a HL7 message (REF_I12 message) using variables extracted from a Dynamic Object and need some advice about segment creation issues that I am having. Some background info: I receive a JSON response from an API call and used %FromJSON to convert the response to an Dynamic Object. Some of the items in the response are repeated such as NOKName, NOKrelationship.

We are wondering how could we iterate over a segments list,

The use case is that we are sending from Process X to process Y a message, only if at the OBR4 CE1 there is a certain code. We were getting this field as follows:

How could we iterate over the following message and get both OBR4 CE1 (1 and 2):

Hi ,

We have inbound HL7 message we want to transform. Is it possible to copy inbound NTE segments at ORC level to PID group level in the transformed messages? I see functions for insert / append / set etc but they appear to be related to specific properties / fields of segments as iodised to the entire segment.

We will receive an ORM message in Business Service in Iris. From that ORM, an ADT^A31 message will be generated and sent out to the EMR before the ORM message is sent out. The ORM message has to wait until Iris receives an acknowledgement from the EMR indicating the ADT message was received. Then, the ORM message will be sent to the EMR. What do I need to set up to hold the ORM message until the acknowledgement is received?

Hi everyone,

I started working on Ensemble this year so maybe I am not implementing the right way. I'm trying to connect a Welch Allyn monitor to TrakCare. The workflow is the following:

- User scans patient number with the monitor.

- The monitor sends a QBP_Q22 message to request patient information

- Ensemble (or TrakCare) sends back a synchronous RSP_K22 containing the patient data (name, dob, sex)

- The user checks the patient's information displayed on the monitor, takes vital signs and sends them to TrakCare (via Ensemble)

Hi,

I have a HealthShare HealthConnect operation which uses the EnsLib.HTTP.OutboundAdapter. It is using a custom Operation class to send HTTP Post request. The request data that is sent to the operation and the response back from the operation is not displayed on the visual trace. Is there anyway to display this data in the trace?

Hi

I would like to create a new message of a particular type and append various segments programmatically. I have started with the following snippet. What I am currently finding difficult is to define a segment of a particular segment structure. I would like to append a pid segment of 2.3.1 to my message. I know I could you the importfromstring but I wanted to know whether there was a better way of achieving this.

Hi,

I need to develop a HL7 Q22/K22 query/response mechanism for a NHS Trust I am working for, but I do not know how to handle the message continuation.

Can any one give me any advise on this and/or point me in the direction of any documentation on the subject?
