Just a quick note to let you know that InterSystems has completed initial testing of IRIS with RHEL 9.8 & 10.2 without problems.

About minor OS certification

OS vendors regularly release minor updates to their products - for example, RHEL 10.2 was released on May 20^th with security improvements and updates to key packages.  Minor OS releases are designed to be – and almost always are – fully backward compatible with previous releases in the major OS version.

InterSystems routinely tests the latest release of IRIS with new minor OS releases.

InterSystems Reports version 25.3 is now available from the InterSystems Software Distribution site in the Components section.  The software is labeled InterSystems Reports Designer and InterSystems Reports Server and is available for Mac OSX, Windows and Linux operating systems.  

Don't let the minor release number fool you - there is a lot packed in this release.  It includes a refreshed user interface -  cleaner lines and fresher colors in "Light mode" and the ability to go back to "Classic mode" in your User Profile.

IPM version 0.10.7 was released on May 29th, 2026. As usual, you can check it out on the GitHub page or through the Community Registry.

Highlighted Features

Utility Scripts iriscli and ipm

IPM is now bundled with two convenience scripts that are runnable from a standard terminal. iriscli launches an interactive IRIS terminal and runs IPM commands directly. These are automatically installed to both ~/.local/bin/ and , so they work inside and outside of containers (Unix/Linux only).

Examples:

InterSystems Kubernetes Operator (IKO) 3.9 is now Generally Available.  IKO 3.9 adds new functionality along with numerous bug fixes and security updates.  Highlights include:

• podTemplate initContainers can now specify volumeMounts
• computeAffinity allows compute nodes to move to the zone of your primary data node

InterSystems is pleased to announce the general availability of:

• InterSystems IRIS Data Platform 2026.1.0.237.3
• InterSystems IRIS for Health 2026.1.0.237.3
• HealthShare Health Connect 2026.1.0.237.3

This release adds support for the Ubuntu 26.04 operating system.  Ubuntu 26.04 includes Linux kernel 7.0, security improvements, along with installer and user interface improvements.  

We are only releasing IRIS for Intel/AMD (x86_64) processors at this time.  We've seen occasional network problems on ARM servers.

Welcome to another installment of the Platforms Update. A few notables to highlight:

• Ubuntu 26.04 has been released, and corresponding IRIS support is coming soon.
• IRIS 2026.2 will bring an end to support for Ubuntu 22.04 and Windows 10.
• Revised minimum CPU specifications are in effect for 2025.3+

For those newly acquainted with these communications, this update provides details about recent enhancements as well as anticipated changes based on current information; however, future projections remain uncertain and the content should not be interpreted as a definitive product roadmap.

Below is an update to the IRIS release calendar for 2026 and an early look at the planned changes for 2027. The key takeaway for 2026 is that maintenance release numbering will differ slightly from prior years.

2026: IRIS 2026.1 maintenance release numbering

• July 2026: first maintenance release for IRIS 2026.1 (planned version: 2026.1.4)
• October 2026: next maintenance release (planned version: 2026.1.5)
• February 2027: following maintenance release (planned version: 2026.1.6)

This numbering change prepares us for the expanded maintenance cadence planned for 2027.

InterSystems has released IAM 3.10.0.9, which is a maintenance release of IAM 3.10 that includes significant fixes, including fixes for security vulnerabilities.

For those of you running older versions of IAM, we encourage you to start planning your upgrade. Customers upgrading from versions of IAM earlier than 3.10 must get a new IRIS license key to use IAM 3.10.  

IAM is an API gateway between your InterSystems IRIS servers and applications, providing tools to effectively monitor, control, and govern HTTP-based traffic at scale.

The 2026.1 release of InterSystems IRIS® data platform, InterSystems IRIS^® for Health, and InterSystems Health Connect™ is now Generally Available (GA). This is an Extended Maintenance (EM) release.

The 2025.1.4 and 2024.1.6 maintenance releases of InterSystems IRIS^® data platform, InterSystems IRIS^® for Health, and InterSystemsHealth Connect™ are now Generally Available (GA). These releases include the fixes for a number of recently issued alerts and advisories, including the following:

An issue has been identified in the HL7-to-SDA3 transformation logic that can cause an infinite loop when processing certain medication-related HL7 messages.

The 2023.1.7 maintenance releases of InterSystems IRIS^® data platform, InterSystems IRIS^® for Health, and InterSystems Health Connect™ are now Generally Available (GA).

The Interoperability user interface project has continued from 2025.1 and has incorporated many of the items that you – our customers and partners – have suggested and observed.  We are continuing to invest in feedback and updating this important user experience.  In the latest release, 2026.1 for IRIS, IRIS for Health, Health Connect and Health Connect Cloud, the BPL Editor and Message Viewer/Visual Trace applications are now available for opt-in!

• Existing users can switch between the modernized and standard experiences.

In the versions specified above, an instance may fail to start or may hang during operation if the database cache is greater than or equal to 2,097,152 MB (2 TB).

IPM version 0.10.6 was released on February 24th, 2026. This version is mostly bug fixes, but does add the -export-python-deps flag to the package and publish  commands to include Python dependencies with the IPM module itself. As usual, you can check it out on the GitHub page or through the Community Registry.
