HL7

Syndicate content 18

Hello,

currently we have a problem in development with the character set of the response message.

We are transmitting an HL7 message with an operation based on the EnsLib.HL7.Operation.HTTPOperation class.
We have changed this as follows.

Set pMsgIn=$$$NULLOREF, tHttpRequest=##class(%Net.HttpRequest).%New(), tHttpRequest.WriteRawMode=1, tHttpRequest.ContentType="APPLICATION/HL7-V2; charset=UTF-8"

Unfortunately, the ContentType character set is not read correctly in the response.

This is the response

I'm receiving HL7 message containing the escape sequence \X00D\ indicating a carriage return. In the HL7 documentation I find that this is a valid escape sequence but when I read the intersystems documentation it states that only \X0D\ is valid.

What is the best way to work around this? I think that intersystems should change the UnescapeEx method in the EnsLib.HL7.Segment so that it complies with the standards.

Hi -

I'm working on a project that will be dealing with depression screening and I'm not certain where any of this information would belong in the HL7v2.x world.

Can anyone suggest what the proper placement of "has this person been screened" and if so, "this was what the screening showed"?

At first thought I was thinking that this is an "Observation" of some sort (and ORU message) for the "what the screening (or perhaps testing) showed", but I'm not sure if the screening was performed yes/no qualifies as an "ordered test".

Just looking for a starting point I guess. Thanks

Hi,

We have a system that gives an AE 'Error' response for warnings, that we want to transform to AA codes when returning the Application ACK.

MSH|^~\&|iCS|EHT|EPRO|R1K|20180511113136||ACK^A02|fbwZaoKW/USAdFI3IGLU|P|2.3|||AL|NE|
MSA|AE|fbwZaoKW/USAdFI3IGLU||||0^Nothing To Update^^W
ERR|||0^Nothing To Update|W|

Fortunately they include a warning code in MSA:6.4 and ERR:4

Does HealthShare have inbuilt functionality to transform Application ACK's, or do we need to build a custom BPL or class to handle this?

Kind regards,

Stephen

Hello mates,

When turning on the “Archive IO” option within the business operations, it provides us the capability of seeing the input and output communication with external systems. For instance, watching the messages sent out + ACK message sent back .

Our production has got a scheduled task that runs daily (by default I guess, as many others) and is in charge of purging “Errors and log files”. And this is likely to be linked to the “Archive IO” feature, right?

The thing is, after tweaking the variable to keep it for 7 days, it doesn't seem to be working, as messages older than 1 day will be vanished (see the below screenshot). I might be missing some other bit...

Any help is appreciated!

What is the recommended approach to handle the following scenario: Large number of HL7 messages are serviced via Ensemble. Those messages are then transformed and routed to an Operation which calls a web service which does a number of different activities. If will do address normalization, location geo coding, MPI lookup and resolution, and insert into a SQL Server database to stage for an analytics product. Unfortunately all of this work takes time and the first thing that happens in the web service is a lock taken out on the Patien in SQL Server. Each call can take seconds where the message input is taking milliseconds. This starts to impact the operation queue as the soap calls can be blocked by the locks. The Ensemble operation is waiting on the web service to return.

I have a service named FTP_In that is of class EnsLib.HL7.Service.FTPService.   It picks up files from multiple subfolders and sends them to an EnsLib.HL7.MsgRouter.RoutingEngine.   What I want to do is somehow capture the subfolder as a variable for use in the routing rules.  Is this possible?

Let's say I have the following files and directory structure on my FTP Server

/incoming/green/apple.dat
/incoming/yellow/banana.dat

I want the Routing Rule to be able to send anything that came from the /green/ folder to one operation and from /yellow/ to another.
