Question Dmitry Maslennikov · Jan 12, 2020

In one of the projects, when we have ECP with 10 ECP application servers, from time to time we faced the issue when our journals fail to purge, due to open transactions. While we have about 100-150 GB journal files per day, it quite quickly became a big issue, and with mirroring a very big issue. Mostly we just rebooted our ECP Data server, so it searches rollbacks any transactions, but such process is too long, may steal a few hours. I did not find any way, how to get the list of the open transactions from one place from ECP Data Server. We just migrated our Data server to 2018.1.

Hi

We are trying to use Ensemble as a Router for DICOM Worklist. So when a DICOM Client sends a request (ECHO Or C-FIND), We want Ensemble to carry such request to Epic EMR. When Epic EMR responds with a Response, We need to be able to forward that response back to DICOM Client. I wanted to see If anyone has a working example of this scenario.

Examples we have in DEMO namespace are not entirely falling into this scenario.

Question Wayne Fourie · Jan 14, 2020

Hi All,

I'm having an issue where I try to use  SOAPUI for a mockup offline service, my issue is when I have the mockup service running in the background and try to send a request from cache I keep getting the following error: "ERROR #6454: No supported policy alternative in configuration".

I've tried to follow the common guidelines for resolving this issue but no luck.

So if there is maybe a nice article explaining how to send a proper request to the mockup service and then getting the response(which will be hardcoded values I've set).

Regards,

I'm working on developing Productions with java. The sample project has several intersystems jar files: -- intersystems-enslib-jms-3.1.0.jar -- intersystems-gateway-3.1.0.jar -- intersystems-jdbc-3.1.0.jar -- intersystems-spark-1.0.0.jar -- intersystems-uima-1.0.0.jar -- intersystems-utils-3.1.0.jar -- intersystems-xep-3.1.0.jar

I have the jar files, but where can I find them for download? Are they available on a maven repository somewhere?

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Everyone,

I've been working on deploying an IRIS for Health environment in EKS. There is a video session in the InterSystems learning portal about this feature but I have not succeeded in finding the proper documentation and resources to use this in my Kubernetes cluster.

Has this been deprecated/discontinued? Any idea where can I find the resources? Should I stick to StatefulSets instead of using the IrisCluster resource type provided by this operator?

Question Đặng Phú Lộc · Dec 30, 2019

Can anyone clarify to me about the differences between these two classes?

People in this topic https://community.intersystems.com/post/using-class-queries-sqlstatement-versus-libraryresultset stated that %SQL.Statement (I am assuming they mean to talk about %SQL.StatementResult) is newer than %Library.ResultSet. But I don't really know what are the advantages of %SQL.Statement over %Library.ResultSet as the people in the topic somehow didn't mention them.

Currently I have a case and it seems like the %SQL.

Last time we launched an IRIS application in the Google Cloud using its GKE service.

And, although creating a cluster manually (or through gcloud) is easy, the modern Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) approach advises that the description of the Kubernetes cluster should be stored in the repository as code as well. How to write this code is determined by the tool that’s used for IaC.

In the case of Google Cloud, there are several options, among them Deployment Manager and Terraform. Opinions are divided as to which is better: if you want to learn more, read this Reddit thread Opinions on Terraform vs. Deployment Manager? and the Medium article Comparing GCP Deployment Manager and Terraform

What if you could serialize/deserialize objects in whatever format: JSON, XML, CSV,...; attending different criteria: export/import some properties and not others, transform values in this or that way before exporting/importing,...; and all of this without having to change the class definition? Wouldn't that be great??

Well, perhaps it's a goal too ambitious to reach 100% but, exploring this idea, I've developed a bunch of classes that I thought it was good to share. If you want to test, change, modify or improve the code, or just take a look at it, you can do it here. There you'll find a more detailed explanation (see Readme.md)

Be aware, this is a proof of concept for myself done in spare times, sure it's not robust enough or it can be done much better... but, I was just playing...ok, I could just wait to the new JSON Adaptor (coming soon!) that sure is going to resolve much more scenarios in a cleaner way, but... meanwhile... :-) ...

We need to get service's both source and target names. We have checked that we could obtain them in the service:

set ^sourceName = ..#SERVICENAME

However we would like to get it directly from the BPL. We have tried:

Set SourceConfigName = ..%PrimaryRequestHeader.SourceConfigName
  $$$LOGINFO("SourceConfigName "_SourceConfigName)

And the compiler outputs:

ERROR: Procesos.HistoriaClinica.ConsultaDatosHCEPaciente.Thread1.cls(S161+247) : MPP5376 : Method or Property '%PrimaryRequestHeader' does not exist in this class.

How could we access to %PrimaryRequestHeader property inside

Loading your IRIS Data to your Google Cloud Big Query Data Warehouse and keeping it current can be a hassle with bulky Commercial Third Party Off The Shelf ETL platforms, but made dead simple using the iris2bq utility.

Let's say IRIS is contributing to workload for a Hospital system, routing DICOM images, ingesting HL7 messages,  posting FHIR resources, or pushing CCDA's to next provider in a transition of care.  Natively, IRIS persists these objects in various stages of the pipeline via the nature of the business processes and anything you included along the way.  Lets send that up to Google Big Query to augment and compliment the rest of our Data Warehouse data and ETL (Extract Transform Load) or ELT (Extract Load Transform) to our hearts desire.

A reference architecture diagram may be worth a thousand words, but 3 bullet points may work out a little bit better:

  • It exports the data from IRIS into DataFrames
  • It saves them into GCS as .avro to keep the schema along the data: this will avoid to specify/create the BigQuery table schema beforehands.
  • It starts BigQuery jobs to import those .avro into the respective BigQuery tables you specify.

Question Kevin McGinn · Feb 28, 2020

I am new to Intersystems cache COS scripts (cache is a client system). ThoughCOS scripts basically appear to be straight forward, I am having issues with the logon credentials. From what I have found in the documentation, the first 2 lines of the script contain the U/P. When running the script, the username is picked up correctly but the password is not. Granted, having U/P in a script is not ideal but will suffice as a matter of learning if I can figure out the formatting/syntax required. Any help on this would be appreciated.

While I can query the HL7 message class EnsLib.HL7.Message (EnsLib_HL7.Message for SQL) to my heart's content in the SQL Shell or the Management Portal's SQL page, I can't seem to SELECT anything other than ID/%Id from an ADO/ODBC client. Properties such as TimeCreated, Name, MessageTypeCategory, etc. all seem to prevent the query from ever completing EXCEPT when I provide the ID as part of the WHERE criteria.

This works fine in the Management Portal and Shell:

SELECT head.ID As HeadId, body.ID As BodyId, body.Name as BodyName
FROM Ens.MessageHeader head
INNER JOIN EnsLib_HL7.

Where can i get the latest odbc providers from SQL Server 2012/2016?

I see some posts on line to  an ftp site out there but I am unsuccessful at getting access to it.  I have a version loaded on my server but get errors when querying cache'.

"[Cache ODBC][State : 22005][Native Code 22005]"

Any help would be appreciated.

the one we have might be version  2014.01.05851  64 bit (would that make sense?)

InterSystems and Intel recently conducted a series of benchmarks combining InterSystems IRIS with 2nd Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors, also known as “Cascade Lake”, and Intel® Optane™ DC Persistent Memory (DCPMM). The goals of these benchmarks are to demonstrate the performance and scalability capabilities of InterSystems IRIS with Intel’s latest server technologies in various workload settings and server configurations. Along with various benchmark results, three different use-cases of Intel DCPMM with InterSystems IRIS are provided in this report.

I want to send requests from custom BP with timeout and be able to understand that timeout event happened.

I thought that I need to implement OnTimeout method in my process (in either caller or callee), however it seems like OnTimeout  is never called.

Let's say we have this parent process:

Class Timeout.Parent Extends Ens.BusinessProcess [ ClassType = persistent ]
{
Method OnRequest(pRequest As Ens.StringContainer, Output pResponse As Ens.StringContainer) As %Status {
    set sc = .SendRequestSync("Timeout.
