Hello,

Do you know if there is any way to disable the automatic tuning IRIS is doing every time a class is altered? It just takes too long in our case and is holding the system, so I'd like to tune the tables when I decide it (again).

I've seen in the documentation that for 2023 version there is an option present in the backend. But not for 2022, so I assume a flag is needed somewhere.

tablePane row selection

Hi Guys,

I've the below tablePane and for some reason when it's populated always the last row is selected by default, I've many tablePanes defined the same way but none of them has the last row selected when populate, so not sure why this grid is doing this?

Hello Community,

I am still pretty new to Ensemble, Cashé, or ObjectScript. My question is this how can I tell when a file was finished and read fully? Currently, I have an EnsLib.FilePassthroughService reads a file from a designated file path and moves it to an archive file path. I need to set up an alert or a notification that can tell me once the file has been read in its entirety and has been moved out of its current file path.

Hello Everyone

I am new to cache. I know there are 2 types of methods in cache. One is Instance method (Which can be call through object creation of particular class) and other is Class methods (which can be call through ##Class(MyPackage.Car).CarModels()).

I want to know the difference when to create a instance method vs when to create a class methods.

I'm close with this but I'm not sure how to grab JUST the GT1.3 data. I know I can do a substring but finding the 3rd | is a tad tricky. I've not been this deep in SQL for 15 years.

Hello,

I have a quick question regarding TSTART, however not certain if there is an answer.

If I am inside the transaction and I loose connection - I always assumed that transaction would TROLLBACK, however it does not.

Is there anything special I need to set up with my TSTART, in order for this transaction to safely rollback?

As example: Let's say I am inside the TSTART and setting up / altering some data and my VPN connection got disconnected. I kind of expect all the data to be rolled back.

Cache Systems Backup

Please how can I schedule a call with InterSystems admin? We have a need to back up our cache DB server in azure using recovery services vault/snapshot. We Have come up with several designs but we need expert advice from InterSystems’ s team or anybody here in the community. I have been asked to contact an InterSystems admin for support but I don't know how to schedule a meetings since they don't have teams presence with our company.

%GetComponentByID Compile Error

Hello,

I have a class I'm working on that is extending a base class that contains the %GetComponentByID method and a section of the new code I'm writing uses %GetComponentByID but when I attempt to compile the class I'm getting an error that says the method doesn't exist.

Am I missing something to be able to include the GetComponent method in an extended class?

When dealing with a support issue of one of our Deltanji source control sites this week I learned that if you're using InterSystems versions earlier than 2018.1 on Unix-type platforms it's possible that a class you export in UDL format will subsequently fail to import. So I'm posting this information here in case it helps other folk.

I'm connecting to a remote device using TCP. It has a binary protocol.

set host = ""
set port = ""
set io = $io
set device = "|TCP|7000"

set timeout = 2
open device:(host:port:"M")
use device:(/IOT="RAW")
read string:timeout

use io
zzdump string

The problem is when reading from it, I get a 0A (also known as 10 or \n or linefeed) byte, which terminates the read.

Expected output:

0000: 42 00 7B 0A 11

But I get this output:

0000: 42 00 7B

How can I fix that?

Hello, I try to develop a REST interface where I need to interact with legacy MUMPS routines. How can I pass in input to a Read without modifying the legacy code?

I think in linux I can execute command < inputfile to read from file, but how does it work in ObjectScript?

I´m working with Cache for many years, currently i have running version cache-2018.1.7.721.0-win_x64.exe

However we are facing some compatibility/requirements challenges, in that way i´m hereby request your support to provide next version/build of Cache 2018.1 (e.g cache-2018.1.9.xxx.x-win_x64.exe )

Nevertheless , I already downloaded IRIS for testing purpose if can also provide trial/limited licence for detail testing will be apreciated.

Translated from the Spanish Community Article Contest.

Following the latest programming contest on OEX I had some surprising observation.
There were almost exclusive applications based on AI in combination with pre-cooked Py modules.
But digging deeper, all examples used the same technical pieces of IRIS.

Seen from point of view of IRIS it was pretty much the same whether searching for text
or searching for images or other pattern. It ended in almost exchangeable methods.
