Hey,

I am pretty new to Docker and everything around that. I installed the container image from DockerHub and followed the instructions (https://hub.docker.com/_/intersystems-iris-data-platform/plans/222f869e-567c-4928-b572-eb6a29706fbd?tab=instructions). Everything is working fine except for the part where I want to change the default password.

I have a class:

Class test.Person Extends (%Persistent, %XML.Adaptor)
{
Property Name;
}

I want to serialize it into this XML:

<Person>
    <Id>1</Id>
    <Name>Ed</Name>
</Person>

Is it possible?

It's for the Visual Trace so I can't use %XML.Writer.

VSCode and CSP - what did I miss?

Hi -

I'm trying to get my VS Code instance that is connected to an AWS IRIS instance to edit/save/compile .csp files, but it's failing to work and I'm not sure why. The ".csp" is associated with the objectscript-csp code, and the server is connected, but things just don't act like they are enabled.

Should this work? and if so, what might I have missed in configuring things?

InterSystems has corrected a defect that may cause Windows Telnet processes that are secured using SSL/TLS to hang indefinitely; this may then cause an instance to become unresponsive. This defect is present only on Windows platforms.

 I'm trying to set up VS Code for ObjectScript using the instructions found here. I've got both Cache 2018.1.2.309.0 and IRIS 2020.1.0.215.0. When I try to connect to either one of them the connection fails, and I get a notification in the bottom right corner that says "Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0". I've checked the JSON settings file that VS Code uses, and they're fine and formatted properly. All of the settings I've entered are correct.

Hi Community...I am trying figure this out any help appreciated. Thanks in advance

The service is a file passthrough that picks up a  PDF and then uses the BPL  code below to create the rest wrapper and sends the stream data. I am not grabbing the stream from the inbound correctly,  "request.Stream" or "request.StreamFC" always produces the following  error.

Here is what is sent and returned in the message..

request:

<Stream>

15@%Library.FileCharacterStream

</Stream>

Newly created routines aren't showing up in the list for a namespace, even using the refresh button.

I checked the ^ROUTINE global and the newly created routine is there. Also, I can zload it and zprint it in the namespace.

Is there another global that is not being populated that vscode uses to build the list?

Hi InterSystems Architects,

Please may I know the relationship between

1. Menus, Workflows, Workflow Items, Components, Code Tables, etc

Detailed relationship diagrams, how each element in each of the above are related to another.

2. When I extracted the data. I see ID number, but they aren't unique or related. I wanted to build a relationship between them myself in the absence of documents but I am missing the critical unique primary key of each and how they are referred in another table.

I have a BPL Business process which always processes messages - mainly it waits for responses since downstream systems are seriously async.

I need to update this process.

Wwould the existing instances of this Business Process complete correctly after the update?

My BPL changes would result in:

  1. New S method in the Thread class
  2. New OnResponse method in the context class

Both changes are in the middle of the process, so there are S/OnResponse methods before and after my change.

Does anyone know of a relatively quick and straightforward way of converting code written in the old dot scoping syntax with argumentless do (see here for reference: https://docs.intersystems.com/latest/csp/docbook/DocBook.UI.Page.cls?KEY=RCOS_cdo_legacy) to the modern parentheses scoping syntax? It's not too bad to do it by hand, but it's also easy to make a mistake and leave a "quit" in an if statement by accident for example.

Server Connections

I'm upgrading my laptop, and installed HealthShare 2020.2.  I wanted to import my server connections from my previous laptop, so I exported the Registry Keys (Windows 10) Under Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\InterSystems\Cache\Servers from the old machine.  I then imported them into new laptop, but I still don't get the list of connections in my HealthShare Remote System Access list from the HS Cube in my system tray.

Does anyone have a solution for this?  I thought this was more portable.
