We are working with a vendor who only accepts JSON as payload. We are currently still on Cache/HealthShare, not IRIS. Since we have to send Continuity of Care Documents, this raises issues with Long Strings (some CCDs can be quite large and in addition to that, they have to be b64-encoded which increases their size even more).

My question is: if we were to go on IRIS and use %JSON.Adapter, storing the encoded Stream in an object's Stream property, would calling %JSONExport() on this object produce the desired JSON? Or would we have to call %JSONExportToStream()?

I am trying to remove a duplicate OBX from a result, but I am running into some issues. Let me explain.

First I had a OBX where the observation Value had the blood type in it and the following OBX had the result in it.

The clients wants the blood type and the result in one field. therefore I merged / concatenated the observation values of the two OBX's.

I tried removing the OBX:2 but just cant take the whole segment out.

I try to use

but output file still in UTF-8 encoding

We have a service that sends XML message. During unit test, I tried to resend the message with following scenario:

(1) If I leave the content blank, the original message will be resent in the ContentStream;

(2) If I post a new XML message, the new XML will be sent in the Content, the original message will be resent in the ContentStream;

If I wanted to build a web-based dashboard that monitored various HIE transactions where would I start?

Examples of measures would be Provide & Registers by Facility, Patient Views by facility or even PHR related data.

I have a successful POC that uses nodejs, html and SQL but I think it makes more sense to use Intersystems technology all the way around, I just don't know where to begin.

I have a %Stream that I want to insert some text into the middle of. I create a new stream called pNewContentStream from the original stream, then I do a MoveTo in pNewContentStream to get to the byte position I want to insert into but when I do my Write, my pNewContentStream gets obliterated with only the text that I wrote, the original content goes away and all I'm left with is my Write text.

I need to create a document with a root like this:

However, the CreateDocument in %XML.Document only allows namespace as an additional argument.

I did override this method, but trying to do something like

Do document.SetAttribute("ITSVersion",,"XML_1.0") only results an empty document with the <?xml> declation only.

If I run SELECT * FROM HS_Message.PatientSearchRequest ORDER BY ID Desc every row has a unique ID but every other row is an exact duplicate. Why would this be?

I'm wondering what the path is to learning healthshare & ensemble? I've looked on the learning page and its minimally helpful. I've found that as a long time mumps programmer that new jobs are requiring this. I've just been using mumps to assist with epic emr. Everything I'm seeing is either VistA or Healthshare. Does someone know where do I go to learn these apps? Seems like a catch 22. You need to know these prior to getting a job but you can't get a job where you can learn them. Frustrating.
