Hi All! We have recently updated the Exploring Healthcare Analytics with InterSystems exercise to a new version. Originally from a 2021 Virtual Summit experience lab, this exercise now focuses more specifically on using InterSystems IRIS Adaptive Analytics with InterSystems IRIS for Health. It features a new and improved data model and exercise to explore. Feel free to give it a try!

DTL record testing error

In the Data Transformation Builder, I have a source record with several values that is connected to a target record with several properties. In the Tools tab, clicking on Test, I have an xml format set up to test the data transformation but I'm getting this error:

ERROR <Ens>ErrNoObjFromString: Failed to find element Record / class BI.process.prodTest.Record in String

Do you know what might be causing this error to happen?

Hello, everyone,

Now that Virtual Summit 2020 is over, we'd like to remind everyone that we would still love to hear your input on Certification topics via a very brief survey - less than 8 minutes. You can even indicate if you would like to be a Subject Matter Expert for us in the future and what kinds of incentives you'd like to receive to do so.

Please let us know your thoughts:

Dear Community,

I've noticed that some of my friends and colleagues are using the Developer Community app on their Android devices. Could someone please help me with the exe file or guide me on how to get it?

Hi all,

I’m working on a data transformation in IRIS where I need to calculate the difference in hours between two timestamps stored as %TimeStamp.

Example:

Set startTime = "2024-07-12 08:30:00"
Set endTime = "2024-07-12 15:15:00"

I’d like to calculate the number of hours (with decimals, like 6.75) between them. What's the recommended way to do this in ObjectScript? I’ve seen examples using $ZDATETIME, but I’m not sure if that’s the cleanest approach.

We are attempting to send HL7 messages over to CBOARD NetMenu over HTTP using SSL. We set this up using the EnsLib.HL7.Operation.HTTPOperation adapter. When we attempt to send the message we are receiving

MSH|^~\&|||DIETOE|A6M0|202505131437||ACK^HTTP^415|00|P|2.1 MSA|AE|9165602|HTTP (N)ACK 'HTTP/1.1 415 Unsupported Media Type'

Is there a generic process for "walking" the structure of a virtual document - eg an HL7 message (EnsLib.HL7.Message) or an XML document (EnsLib.EDI.XML.Document).

At least we'd want to be able to visit all "nodes" (HL7 fields or sub-fields, XML nodes) in the virtual document and be able to work out/generate the Property Path (so we could call "GetValueAt").

We can just about come up with something generic for HL7, since it only nests down to 4 levels within each segment, though we're using numeric Property Path's at that point rather than symbolic ones (MSH:1.3 etc).

Hi,

In a customer project we started enforcing the "Inactivity Limit" as defined in System-Wide Security Parameters. The customer would expect accounts to become Disabled after they have been inactive for the specified amount of days. However, that doesn't happen; it seems the Inactivity Limit is only established after logging in.

Furthermore, the account inactivity only starts being applied after the first login. Can you confirm that?

Lastly, for accounts that have been manually Disabled, and have an expired password, we see the following weird behavior:

Hello Community,

I have a stream property which uses %Stream.GlobalCharacter and I set some dummy texts like "a1a2a3a4a5a6a7...."(more than 1024 characters) in to that stream and the stream values are not compressed. However, The streams are compressed If I use the Lorem ipsum is a dummy or placeholder text or other text "This is part four of a long memo." which length is greater than 1024

Hey Community!

We're excited to introduce a new way to interact with the Developer Community AI — you can now have a real conversation with it!

Instead of just asking one-off questions, you can chat with DC AI in a more natural, back-and-forth format. This way, whether you're exploring InterSystems technologies, debugging code, or learning something new, DC AI is here to help, just like a fellow developer.

Query variable column names

Hi,

How can I query fields by passing them in variable names, eg. I would like to query columns Book & Author fields from eg. the following :

S =var1="Book", var2="Author"

Select var1,var2 from myTables.Books

I tried @var1 or %var1 and didn't work

Thanks
