Description

This is a template for a FastApi application that can be deployed in IRIS as an native Web Application.

As an example of an application on Java working with Hibernate dialect for IRIS, wanted to use RealWorld application, and found realization for Quarkus. RealWorld application is an example of an application close to some real one, with already prepared tests for the backend. Most of the examples of realizations can be found here

The RealWorld example application is often referred to as the "Wikipedia for building full-stack applications." It serves as a standardized prototype that developers can use to create applications using various programming languages and frameworks. The application provides a real-world use case by mimicking a blogging platform, complete with features like user authentication, profile management, article posting, and comments. With a comprehensive set of specifications, including ready-made backend API documentation and frontend designs, it allows developers to see how the same functional requirements are implemented across different technology stacks. The RealWorld example is widely used as a learning tool and a benchmark for comparing various technologies.

Quarkus

Quarkus is an open-source, Kubernetes-native Java framework tailored for the GraalVM and HotSpot. Created with the aim to enhance the modern cloud-native environment, it significantly reduces the footprint and startup time of Java applications. Quarkus is known for its "container-first" philosophy, allowing developers to build lightweight, high-performing applications with a focus on microservices architecture. This flexibility has made it a popular choice for organizations looking to transition into serverless or cloud-based platforms, combining both imperative and reactive programming models. Whether it's a traditional web application or a complex system of microservices, Quarkus provides a robust platform for building scalable and maintainable software.

I get this on accesing a csp page

I'm using FOP 1.1 for ZEN reports and would like to install fonts within the Windows/Fonts directory.

I added the xml tags in fop.xconf but so far I have been unable to get the correct font.

Im using below code to display page number. But i only display as 1,2..etc. I need to display it as I,II,III..etc...

Hi All,

I need some clarification on web service (Soap Service). For each Soap request, system consuming 1 license and it is not releasing until CSP session timeout and extra grace period 5.10 minutes(310 seconds).
Due to this, at some time license consumption is full.
If i use with Login credential (i.e password authenticated web service), it consumes one license for 25 connections(request).
But i need to use it as anonymous user(Unauthenticated).
Please advice.

It's possible to enable Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V in IRIS Terminal for Windows.

To do that, open Terminal and select Edit > User Settings and enable Windows edit accelerators. This setting specifies whether the Terminal enables the common Windows edit shortcuts (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+Shift+V), in addition to the basic Terminal edit shortcuts (Ctrl+Insert and Shift+Insert).

After that Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V would work.

Also <SYNTAX> errors after incorrect copy/paste go away.

Does anyone have an easy way of reading the cdata in the xml response returned buy a Webservice?

At the moment I have a XML class and then I use read.Correlate() to read through that XML bit.

However, depending on the message I have different things in the CData and I don't want to create a class for each one of these.

The API returns the cddata as KeyValueOfstringstring.

Our team is reworking an application to use REST services that use the same database as our current ZEN application. One of the new REST endpoints uses a query that ran very slowly when first implemented. After some analysis, we found that an index on one of the fields in the table greatly improved performance (a query that took 35 seconds was now taking a fraction of a second).

I'm currently re-engineering an application from CSP pages directly accessing COS Methods, to an Angular/Material front end accessing a REST DAL. Both the Angular front end and REST services are hosted from the same Caché instance and the same namespace, but the REST services have their own CSP application, with all calls being routed through a Dispatch class.

During a fine breakfast at Global Summit 2016 I was asked about the %DEFAULTDB database that now appears when creating the %ALL namespace.
