Just curious how many companies use in their work Docker containers, I mean not only with InterSystems products. And if such companies exist, which of them uses docker and doesn't use it for InterSystems products by some reasons. What are the reasons? For companies which already uses InterSystems in containers, how do you use it? Development environment, testing or even in production ?
And if you don't use but thought about it, what are the reasons which stop you.
As for me, I've been using InterSystems Caché inside a Docker container in some different cases:
We have a global with 65 million entries. All we are doing is just iterating through each entry to find out the total no of entries. It is currently taking 110 minutes. Is this something normal? What can we do to speed up this process? Below is the program for just iterating each entry in the global.
s sub=" ,count=0 f{ s sub=$o(^YYY(sub)) q:sub="" s count= count +1 } w!, "Total Count:"_ count
Currently, when we want to write data to a file that will be viewed in Excel, we parse the data in tab deliminated format to the file and name it with .xls at the end. That is sent to end users via email. They get a warning that the data is not formatted properly (it's not really an Excel file after all) but it does display somewhat correctly as the tabs are understood (this does not work if we deliminated with commas however).
Is there something in Cache that is equivalent to partitioning a table in Oracle? I'm trying to break some big tables into groups so that the most frequently accessed data is faster to retrieve.
Here is some information on this concept from Oracle.
I am still working on a generic task where I need to apply journal file records to another database. Initially I didn't want to use Journal.Restore class methods as I need to perform some data transformation, and it seemed that the clearest way to achieve it was to read journal file record by record using %SYS.Journal.Record API.
I'm creating a new namespace by the installation manifest XML and in the "database" tag configuration I don't see attribute to configure if I what jounal globals or not to this database.
In the database wizard of the "portal administration", have this option.
Any news about JDBC driver and Hibernate dialect on a public java repository, like mvnrepository? Today I need to download the jdbc driver and hibernate jar, add as an external resource on my maven config file to works.
We have a requirement for one webpage that should be access in our VPN with out authentication. If it asks user name password that also fine.
This page should be a dashboard for the ensemble health monitoring. Support Team seating Area we have big SMART Monitor which always shows this webpage. Support engineers keep on eye on this monitor, if it shows action required then . they will act upon immediately. Expecting some widgets like
Having developed systems using Caché ObjectScript and Ensemble on various projects over the last 4 - 5 years I'm considering trying for some certifications. I've found details of the Caché Systems Administrator and Caché Application Developer certifications but have a couple of questions:
1) Is there a certification for Ensemble Application Developer?
2) Are any sample questions and/or practice exams available?
When I go through the Atelier Cheat Sheet on the connection configuration, it talks about an Eclipse master password and asks for two hints to remember the master password. However, it does not specify the master password. I can only assume the master password is the same as the Cache instance password.
Can anyone shed some light on this master password, where or how it is used, and any other useful information?
Need a sample of using %Net.HttpRequest and %NetHttpResponse from Cache to retrieve and then use/reuse a bearer token to send json data to a REST web service.
Last weekend we held the Final of InterSystems Contest on Caché, DeepSee and iKnow under the aegis of IT Planet Student Championship in Ekaterinburg. BTW, this year we had more than 1,400 participants in InterSystems Contest.
For a small automation feature I would like to login to the IRIS shell non-interactively, skipping the whole username and password prompts, providing the credentials through other means. Something in the fashion of "iris session <instance-name> --user myuser --pass mypass" would be great, but the session tool itself doesn't seem to be capable of doing this.
I am working on a project that will interact with some software called ROS (Robot Operating System). One of the development challenges we have is as follows:
ROS uses web sockets... So one connect with ws://localhost:9090 to the web socket server. It starts off as http, but then "upgrades" to web socket. It then keeps open this "tunnel" for bi-directional communication..
I need something like a HTTP Outbound adapter, but the Web Socket version of it...
I have a classname and a property name. I want to know, when I get object value directly from a global, which property corresponds to which position in the $lb structure.
Hi Team, If any possible to add a rewards list of InterSystems cache certification to InterSystems Global Masters. For example ,developer or global master user have 10000 point as , we give any offer(price) to attend the InterSystems cache/Ensemble/IRIS certificate. So no.of developer try to attend the exam and get certification. This is very useful for developer career and we also have lot of Cache developers in the market. Please correct me, if I am wrong..
Transition and transfer from Caché to Iris databas. I have a question about import-export from Caché to Iris. Someone will tell you how to do this with a regular one, i.e. using standard procedures from Caché itself or Iris? I am asking in connection with the planned transition from Caché to the new IRIS DBMS.
Due to a new project I'm getting involved inside %Installer stuff deeper than ever I'd be happy to. Most of it was pretty easy to get, thanks to documentation, articles and SAMPLES example, while I can't dig good solution for one problem.
I'm attempting to configure VS Code's InterSystems Server Manager to establish a connection to an IRIS for Health server. It has a standalone CSP gateway running on an Apache server with TLS enabled. The port for all IRIS api and browser traffic is 443.
I've configured the webServer section's host, port, and variations on pathPrefix (including no pathPrefix entry), and have the correct user ID set. The password is stored in the server keychain.
The connection simply fails with "Server could not be reached." Nothing in the Output or Problems tabs.
I have followed the Article: Continuous Delivery of your InterSystems solution using GitLab, On our own Linux environment it works well but when I try to run it on a clients windows server; and the following command is run by the runner
irissession IRISHEALTH -U TEST "##class(isc.git.GitLab).load()"
Does anyone know of a library that can be used to create Mock objects for Objectscript classes?
Right now, my team has been building mock objects by hand to help circumvent dependencies when writing and executing unit tests, but I always wondered if someone had ever created a Mock library like Mockito to help quicken the process.
