Recently, I get interest in FHIR in order to run for the IRIS for Health FHIR
contest. As a beginner on this topic, I've heard somewhat about it, but I didn't know how complex and powerful was FHIR. As pointed out by @Henrique.GonçalvesDias here, you can model several aspects of the patient history and other related entities.

In this article we are going to demonstrate the great potential that IRIS/HealthConnect makes available to all its users with the use of Embedded Python and we are going to do it by developing a small production that will allow us to recognize and identify the faces present in a JPG file from some images that we will use as a reference.

Now let's look at another flow of data having to do with ordering and fulfilling the orders of tests. I'm talking about ORM (as of version 2.5 you should use specific messages to order tests, like OMG, OML, OMD, OMS, OMN, OMI, and OMP), ORL and ORU messages. To resolve the error <PROTECT>, remove the read-only attribute of the system-wide library database (IRISLIB for InterSystems IRIS, CACHELIB for Caché/Ensemble/HealthShare (Caché-based))

Once you have finished importing the routine, remember to change it back to read-only.

Whats NLP Stands For?

NLP stands for Natural Language Processing which is a field of Artificial Intelligence with a lot of complexity and
techniques to in short words "understand what are you talking about".

And FHIR is...???

FHIR stands for Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources and is a standard to data structures for healthcare. There are
some good articles here explainig better how FHIR interact with Intersystems IRIS.

EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems are designed in a proprietary format/structure and are not based on such market models as FHIR or HL7. Whereas some of those systems can interoperate data in a proprietary format for FHIR and further market models, others cannot. InterSystems has two platforms that can interoperate proprietary formats for market standards: InterSystems HealthShare Connect and InterSystems IRIS for Health.

In the context of HL7 FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources), the terms "id" and "identifier" refer to specific elements used for identifying resources within the FHIR data model. For a newbie, these terms can be confusingly similar, but they serve distinct purposes.

Look at the below Patient resource for August T. Faulkner:

The resource has an id of “1” — generated by the FHIR server when the resource was created.
Patient August T. Faulkner also has a identifier (Medical Record Number) — possibly provided by the hospital — of 78510398960

I have been struggling with a docker run command that kept crashing, the error message was too generic to point me to the right direction.

Since the container is shut down after the failure, I was unable to login to it in order to figure out the problem.

I had to run the container in a way that I'll be able to log into it before it crashed, so I found the adding -u false prevents the docker run command to run the iris session IRIS and the container stayed up and running. then I was able to log into it using:

IRIS and Ensemble are designed to act as an ESB/EAI. This mean they are build to process lots of small messages.

But some times, in real life we have to use them as ETL. The down side is not that they can't do so, but it can take a long time to process millions of row at once.

To improve performance, I have created a new SQLOutboundAdaptor who only works with JDBC.
