I'm happy to share with you that Developer Community is growing and Yesterday we reached a good milestone: 1,000,000 unique reads for articles and questions you contributed to InterSystems Developer Community.
AWS has officially released their second-generation Arm-based Graviton2 processors and associated Amazon EC2 M6g instance type, which boasts up to 40% better price performance over current generation Intel Xeon based M5 instances.
A few months ago, InterSystems participated in the M6g preview program, and we ran a few benchmarks with InterSystems IRIS that showed compelling results. This led us to support ARM64 architectures for the first time.
InterSystems will take part in HackMIT hackaton, a long-weekend hackaton organized by the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), where thousands of students come together to work on cool software and/or hardware projects. This year the HackMIT is in-person again, at the MIT campus, and will take place during the first weekend of October.
This year the main tracks areEducation, Sustainability, New Frontiers, and Entertainment. InterSystems challenge will be related to 1 or 2 of the main tracks and will be revealed on September 28. Stay tuned!
I'm pleased to announce that in this December 2017 we have 2 years of InterSystems Developer Community up and running!
Together we did a lot this year, and a lot more is planned for the next year!
Our Community is growing: In November we had 3,700 registered members (2,200 last November) and 13,000 web users visited the site in November 2017 (7,000 last year).
