Metabase IRIS Driver

Hi InterSystems Community! I'm Sidd one of the interns at the Singapore office and I recently had the chance to develop to develop a driver to connect IRIS to Metabase to help some of the Sales Engineers here. I was encouraged to share it here so that if any others have a similar issue they can use the driver and as well as get some feedback on potential improvements. Is anyone using Veeam as their external backup product?

I'm trying to backup a Linux VMs (VMWare; SUSE).

These VMs have a mirrored pair IRIS DB.

I'm using the InterSystems's provides pre-freeze - Backup.General(ExternalFreeze)
I'm using the InterSystems's provides post-thaw - Backup.General(ExternalThaw)

I've been running the backups with Veeam 'application aware processing' so I can add the pre-freeze and post-thaw scripts.

I'm backing up the PRIMARY node of the mirror pair.

MIRROR for Embedded Python ?

MIRROR is the best solution for almost immediate replications to a Failover Server.
The related mechanics are based on Global Journaling.

Globals hold Data and Classes and Routines and more ...
If Mirroring is in place all is in sync. With minimum delays
This is of course rather useful for code changes in Classes, Routines, ....

To what extent is Embedded Python covered by Mirroring?
Or:
What is required to Synchronize EmbeddedPython like Mirroring.

GetEnviron() on CentOS

Why I'm not getting OS level environmental variable in the IRIS for below actions:

CentOS termial:

[root@]# export TEST="test"
[root@]# echo $TEST
test
[root@]# iris session MYIRIS

Node: myiris01, Instance: MYIRIS

Username: User
Password: ********
NSPACE>s test = $SYSTEM.Util.GetEnviron("TEST")

Reports roadmap

We are about to embark on a development where we'll be taking HL7 messages and generating PDF reports from them. We are wanting to future proof our development efforts within the constraints of our currently deployed platform and future upgrade options. We are currently running on Ensemble 2018, though an upgrade to Iris is anticipated - at some indeterminate point in the future. We are aware of Zen Reports and InterSystems Reports (Logi) as technology options, but are also unclear on some details. A roadmap and guidance from those who've done this kind of thing before would be great!

Hello guys,

I'm trying to install HealthShare on a virtual machine. The original language of this virtual machine was Russian, unfortunately I don't speak Russian hehehehe.
So I changed the original language to English, but when I installed HealthShare the portal was in English, but the terminal was in Russian and during installation it doesn't show me any option to select the language.

I am trying to pull the status of operations in health connect. I'm successfully pulling if it's enabled/disabled, but I'm not getting access to where the current item status is held (for example, items in error). I found "##class(EnsPortal.Utils).ItemStatuses", but I can't retrieve data from that. Is this data readily accessible via another means?

Hi Guys,

I have a service that picks up jobs and process them, is there a way that I can cap the number of attempts to pickup a certain job eg. 10 times if no response then just discard ?
