Our colleagues worldwide put their creativity, technical know-how, and demo magic to the test. Scoping OID / OREF map

It's a feature of ObjectScript (perhaps widely known, perhaps not) that if you open the same object ID multiple times, you end up with the same OREF. For example:

USER>set obj1 = ##class(Sample.Person).%OpenId(1)
 
USER>set obj2 = ##class(Sample.Person).%OpenId(1)

USER>w obj1,!,obj2
1@Sample.Person
1@Sample.Person

Generally speaking, this is an important feature - you won't end up accidentally modifying the same record via multiple paths and losing some of the changes.

Is it possible to retrieve the SQL-Executing process ID (PID) from a process spawned from a UNION %PARALLEL? I have a value set in the SQL-Executing process that I need to replicate in the UNION %PARALLEL spawned process(es). The SQL-Executing process writes the value to a global subscripted by its PID so determining the SQL-Executing PID from the spawned process is what I need. I expected $ZPARENT from the spawned process would hold the SQL-Executing PID but the PID returned is different.

VISM.OCX in Delphi

Please suggest me.

I use delphi to develop and import VISM.OCX to component in delphi.

I run My Qurey Code in terminal get data many line but in VisM1.PLIST get data One line.

This is my code.

Hi All,

I have below schema structure:

Now there are few cases where source application is sending NTE segment after TQS segment

Is there any way of updating the schema to use the same NTE from OBXgrp, cause we dont want to update the code logic as its happening for few messages only.

Hello Community,

For the Business Rules in a process i want to use a constraint where source could be FromA or FromB.

But looks like the constraint does not allow multiple source values.

Is there a way to provide multiple source in Constraint? Or is there a way in Rules to identify the Source ?

Hi guys,

I have a technical question. I have a Ens.BusinessOperation which contains a main method with parameters "In" As Ens.StreamContainer and Output "Out" As Ens.StringContainer. Return type is %Status.
Can this method just do "Quit $$$OK"?.
Currently this BO is used for see messages in Full Trace View.
It is a correct way to proceed?

Hi,

a Customer of ours comes up with a requirement to improve an existing email business service within one of his ensemble productions. The services fetches emails from a mailserver on a daily basis and extract attached files from this email and send them along with some meta information through the production.

Conversion to Atelier

If our SVN repository already is storing discrete .cls files, does Atelier do any conversion when we load from SVN into our server instance?

At what point would I see .udl files? I am thinking I would only see that if SVN was storing .xml and each of those would be converted to .udl.

The cdirectmgr utility will no longer be included with product distributions beginning with the Caché 2016.2 release . This was an older VB application (predating the Caché cube) which allowed users to define server connections for Visual M/Caché Direct applications. As VB 6 is no longer supported by Microsoft, we will no longer ship this component. The same functionality is already available from the cube utility.

%SERVICE_TELNET

Could be enabled a service as "%service_telnet" from cmd? I need to open a cache terminal from cmd but without this service enabled it is not possible, I mean avoiding the use of manage portal of course.
