I have been able to insert a class using the Atelier API called in c# but now want to run it from the same code.

Is there a way of calling a Cache class method from c# code?

Context: Ensemble development with ObjectScript in a healthcare context - lots of HL7, and some web service stuff. We've used Studio up till now, alongside a lot of leaning on an external developer, but are expanding our team and doing more in-house. We are wondering about Visual Studio Code - not least because it looks easier to hook up to source management solutions. And we've noticed that the test environments that you get connected to when doing many of the online training courses on learning.intersystems.com give you a Visual Studio Code environment.

We have tried to use:

I'm moving my development to a new PC based on UBUNTU Linux now to be compatible with IRIS.

I found out, that the Atelier plugin for Eclipse is not available anymore on Eclipse Marketplace and https://atelier/jfrog.com/atelier/updates/stable/1.3.

Currently when 'Importing and Compiling' multiple files I have to click 'Overwrite on Server' for each file. Is there a way of choosing 'Overwrite on Server' for all files I have selected.

The Ensemble doc mentions Studio and Atelier to create customer business process logic, but does not mention VS code.

The official InterSystems message is that Atelier is deprecated and putting it front and center in the interoperability doc seems like a mistake.

Maybe Studio means old Studio and VS Studio, but if so some clarification would help.

I'm facing a problem when I compile my code in Atelier (version 1.3) when connected to an Iris Community instance in Docker container.

When compiling, the code is synchronized with the server correctly, however, in the IDE, the code is inserted into the class again.

As Atelier for Eclipse seems that will be discontinued, I decided to start moving my coding environment to Visual Studio Code. I kind of like it, and I'm getting used to it.

But I can't find the way to have several server connections as I do in Eclipse, and so creating projects based on that servers. Is there any way to do it?

We would like to be able to store accented characters into an API.

Currently our Rest Operation is the following:

I was searching for the most simple way to connect from visual studio code to my local instance via terminal without having to change any window.

I know this can also be achieved via telnet but seems a bit overhead if you're in your local machine.

For me the simplest sollution is to open a terminal window in VS Code, navigate to the /bin folder of your instance installation and run .\csession.exe INSTANCENAME

For simplicity you can just include your /bin folder in your path so you don't even need to navigate there

I have a little problem that appears to my newest program. One of the purpose of my program is to transfer a file from a path to another one.

Another person/entity places the file into a specific file ( let's call it \\Server\) but the problem is that my service (a simple EnsLib.File.PassthroughService) takes it and places it directly into my other path. The pdf file is very big and it happens almost all the time that the size of the output file is not the same as in input and so is corrupted.

Pretty straight forward.

I'm tempted to hard-code ISO-8859-1 inside my VSCode extension when working with CSP because this seems to be the encoding used by default, but I need to know if there's any other possible configuration. So can you share your experience when working with CSPs? Like issues with encoding, discoveries regarding it, workarounds etc.

Also, can someone tell me if it's possible to work with UTF-8 encoded CSP files using Atelier without breaking the encoding of the output file?
