We receive an HL7 order message into our integration engine containing OBX segments. I would like to create a PDF file and take the values from all instances of OBX-5 in the message and write them to that PDF file, which I would then like to embed into an outgoing message to another system.

Any help appreciated.

How best can I capture %GSIZE all pages? Or parameters to use?

We have a couple of systems that send us a URL link to a PDF instead of base 64 encoding it in the HL7 message. Has anyone ever tired to take that URL, and retrieve the file off of the server to save it off somewhere?

Does anyone have some code for downloading all messages from mailbox into Caché? And maybe automatic syncing after download? I know, there is %Net.POP3 but maybe someone has already done that.

I'm always on the lookout for tools that make the development and testing of my interfaces more efficient. A couple of years ago I came across HL7 Spy, from Inner Harbour Software. It quickly became my go-to tool for running message comparison reports for interface engine migrations, message statistics gathering, and troubleshooting message receipt and delivery. It also offered enhanced functionality for things like fetching messages via sftp that other tools don't provide.

I've recently been working with HL7 Spy's author, Jon Reis, to enable support for fetching messages directly from the Ensemble message store. Its SQL Loader feature now has native Caché/IRIS support, and I've contributed a small server-side class to support the extraction of messages using it.

I am writing a simple routing interface that picks up files from a share using File.InboundAdapter.

I am then using PassthroughService and passing it to a router.

The Router is using Ens.StreamContainer to then get the filename. I have then used contains to pick out part of the filename.

and then pass it to another simple passthrough operation to another share.

I am converting UTF-8 encoded error files to ANSI files and for that I had written below piece of code. But I am not able to get ANSI encoded files.

For context, I am trying to create a viewer class for an existing persistent class.

Let us call the persistent class A, with SqlTableName = OldA.

The viewer class will be B with SqlTableName = A and ViewQuery = {select %ID, <other fields> from <some other class with the same fields as A>}
