I'm trying to send a message into a production on change a persistent object.

And when I change an object using SQL - I get an error,
when change the object using objectscript - I get a message (but not an error or exception)
But the most interesting - everything works fine (the object has been changed, and business service receives data)

Globals documentation

I have a client with cache instance that is growing by 10-30G/day. In order to determine what is consuming space I ran "DO ^%GSIZE" to generate a report. From the report the bulk of the space consumption is from a couple of globals which appear to be built in globals not user defined. I would like to find documentation that details the function of these globals to help me understand how and why space is being consumed at such a rapid pace.

Hello everyone :-)

I would like to grant access to the Event Log (below in French "Journal des événements") to a user, and more generally to an existing group of users (this group is named "Helpdesk").

Helpdesk has already access to the following tables:

I have several Business Services which I need to run once on each trigger.

Trigger can be either:

  • Specific time (so once a day, every day)
  • Specific day (so once a month, every month)

For the time, it would be stable (i.e. 0100), but the second case varies - one month it could be 10th, another month - 12th.

After each run I want the service to turn off, so that all the time the service is not running it would be colored grey in Production Management Page.

I plan to use Task Scheduler, but open to suggestions.

Hi -

I need an example of what I need to "map" to have a common dashboard defined so it will visible/usable in multiple namespaces.

I have created a dashboard in "SAMPLES" (namespace and database) and I would like to have this dashboard be accessable/useable from a 2nd namespace, but I'm not having any success in doing mappings (global/package/routine/data) to be able to get DeepSee to be able to see/display the dashboard.

What is the minimum that I need to map?

Some of the templates in Atelier display "on" in the "Auto Insert" column. I can't figure out how they differ from the ones that aren't so marked. Some Googling suggests that it should insert without displaying the template popup if there is only one matching template. However, I see the popup every time.

Atelier and overriding

I'm used to using Class/Refactor/Override in Studio to override methods, properties, xData blocks, etc regularly.

I can't see how to replicate that in Atelier at the m moment. Is this possible ?

My client is using IRIS 2021.1 Interoperability and they want to highlight the sessions with unresolved(without resent and completed operations) errors so their maintenance team can have a list of unresolved sessions to check against.

When I'm working on it, it seems to be it is is difficult to decide whether a session have unresolved errors. For example,

Hi Community,

We got requirement to Migrate whole interfaces from prod instance (cache2017.1 ) to new instance iris2020.1.

Currently around 100+ integrations (health share and health connect) up and running in prod instance (cache2017.1 ) , we need to migrate this live server to brand new server with iris2020.1.

Could you please suggest me guidelines and best practises while doing this migration.

Please ping me any document reference for this kind of Lift and Shift Migration.

After migration done, we will use new Live (iris2020.1 )instance only.

Hello,

I created a custom business operation to copy PDF files in Intersystems Healthshare. To copy the files I used:

$ZF(-100, "", "cp", "-f", tSource, tTarget)

tSource contains the source file e.g. "/opt/var/data/dir/1821008687135422926_5849146876.pdf".

tTargetSource contains the target file "/opt/targetdir/Müller_Jörg_1821008687.pdf".

Copying files without german Umlaute works fine (e.g Smith_Robert_1821081542.pdf), but when the string contains special characters like "ä", "ö", "ü" or even "ß" copying is not successful.

SPOOL as SQL Table

It is a classic Global Mapping exercise presenting ^SPOOL as Class / Table

Background

Device #2 named SPOOL dates back to the predecessors of Caché and IRIS
It was the first "%Stream" like option to buffer output before printing.
It is also the first and till today the most simple way of output redirection.

Solution

This is also an example of a mapped Global.
USE 2 redirects the output into the Global ^SPOOL
