Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced InterSystems Developer / Specialist with expertise in InterSystems IRIS / HealthShare to support healthcare integration and interoperability initiatives. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in ObjectScript development, healthcare data standards, and integration protocols supporting EHR/HIE environments.

We are hiring!  100% Remote W2 Contract | 3-6+ Months (numerous extensions likely)

Having solid experience with the below: 

• Interface Development: Building and configuring message routes, business processes, and transformations using components like IRIS, Ensemble, or HealthShare.

I'm pleased to announce version 2.6.0 of the VS Code ObjectScript extension, containing a number of enhancements that make a developer's life easier. Some highlights are described below. As always, find the full list of modifications in the CHANGELOG, including many bug and vulnerability fixes.

Switch namespaces quickly

Thanks to @Olli Tanskanen at partner company JediSoft Oy for this enhancement! You can now switch namespaces from the Server Actions menu (when using client-side folders only).

Fast, asynchronous server-side search

This one requires InterSystems IRIS 2023.

InterSystems is pleased to announce that version 3.0.5 of the VS Code - ObjectScript extension has been released. This release includes many bug fixes, as well as changes to the telemetry data we collect. Collecting more product usage data helps InterSystems identify and prioritize fixes and enhancements that will have the most positive impact for you, our users. Personally identifiable information (PII) will never be collected, and telemetry can be disabled using the telemetry.telemetryLevel setting. InterSystems has corrected a defect that causes invalid database and journal records to be introduced when using a specific $LIST syntax. The likelihood of encountering this defect is very low but the operational impacts can be significant.

The Season's holidays are fast approaching, and it's time to get ready for them! Join the Advent of Code 2024 with InterSystems and engage in our ObjectScript challenge!

The InterSystems platforms have always offered dynamic documentation of the packages and classes in a namespace, a feature known informally as Documatic. But what if you need to publish this class reference information on a website without requiring the site to be connected to an IRIS server containing the actual classes?

For my entry to the December 2024 Developer Community “Bringing Ideas to Reality” contest I decided to implement the idea of a generator that produces a static set of class reference pages .

Visual Studio Code releases new updates every month with new features and bug fixes, and the September 2024 release is now available. 

Version 1.94 now includes: 

• Find in Explorer - Quickly find files in the Explorer view with the improved Find control. As a consequence of this, the Explorer's Find widget on server-side folders requires v2.12.9-beta.4 or later with Proposed APIs enabled. Read more in this Developer Community post. 
• Source Control Graph - More filtering options and interactivity in the Source Control Graph.
