Since I saw many posts on Developer Community related to Python, and the very good articles and application written by @Eduard Lebedyuk I was wondering: "As a Object Script developer, why would I want to use an other  language in Object Script? If I ever need to execute something in Object Script, I would do it in Object Script!".

I thought those functionalities to use other languages in Object Script were made only for other languages developers who have to write Object Script code.

Recently I had to parse a huge CSV file : 1.7Gb and more than 5 millions lines.

Hello everyone. I am hoping someone here can help me get my local instance running. I have set up these local instances in the past (pre IRIS) and never had much trouble, but I have spent so much time the last couple days trying to work through this problem and am out of ideas. It has been years since I have set up a local instance so this could be something I am doing wrong, but I am open to any suggestions. I am trying to setup a Vista database like I have in the past by creating a new database and namespace named VISTA, have created a folder with the FOIA .

I have an ObjectScript class with a Log property of type %Stream.GlobalCharacter.  I need to search the end of each of the logs - is there a way to extract the last 10 lines of the Log stream for each object via SQL? Or is my only option to write an ObjectScript routine to walk the table and inspect each Log property one by one?

Hello gentlemen,

I hope you can help me because this is a very serious that I can't wait to resolve... Our back-up is currently taking 3 up to 4 Gb per day and we don't know why. We had 270 Gb yesterday and we are today at 274.3 Gb. We keep a computer history of the messages for only 50 days. Here is a picture of what's currently taking the most data place in our healtshare system:

(don't forget that our DB is also connected to the back-up, maybe it is related, I don't know)

When using GetFieldStreamRaw(), by passing in a variable instead of using an output for the Remainder, will this affect how it is stored into a segment in a cloned message? I know it would usually output the remaining fields of the segment but in order to conform to a supplier's spec, they'd require "^^PDF" rather than the rest of the segment. Because the segment becomes immutable, the code below seems to be the way to do it.

I am trying to pull the code tables Information and this code table has linked  code table not exactly obviously joined by SQL tables or columns. This is confusing me. Please can you clarify how to link these two tables.

CT_Hospital has CT_Staff linked in.

When CT_Hospital has data, for that relevant hospital code, CT_Staff can be clicked and data entered. 

When I see in the Components - > Items I do not see any SQL table or SQL column common between CT_Hospital and CT_Staff. 

Question: How can I join CT_Hospital with CT_Staff.

I'm hoping to get some feedback on the OAuth process flow for Payer-to-Payer authorization.  It doesn't seem that "Authorization Code Flow" is needed as there will not be a need for a login.  I am leaning towards recommending "Client Credentials Flow", but wanted to get some community feedback before making a decision. I prefer to follow what the standard will be if possible.  What would you recommend?  Thank you in advance for your input.

I am looking to export table to a text file in a programmatic way. I am not familiar with this class and how to invoke a "savertn" as input here.

Essentially I would like to Export Table (SELECT * FROM Table) and save it as a text file locally on Linux server. Is there any examples out there of that? Perhaps I need to save the query output to a global and then pass that input to the export?

Class Pattern to the REST Application

To begin, see my suggestion for classes needed to create IRIS API applications:

• IRISRESTApplication: CSP.REST class that will be the central controller for all REST requests and responses processed by the business services.
• BusinessService: class with a business topic implementation. It can use one or more Persistent Domain Classes to persist and query data required by the business topic requirements.

I really love documentaries! Last weekend I was watching a Netflix documentary called This is Pop, because it was Analytics Contest time and I thought: Why not creating a pop song analytics with InterSystems Iris?

The first challenge was the database. I found on Data World project a CSV file with the Billboard hot 100 songs from 2000 to 2018, created by "Michael Tauberg" @typhon, that fits perfectly.

I was talking to @Henrique Dias and he gave me the idea of using Microsoft Power BI for good looking report with charts.

Which genres were most popular between 2000 and 2018?

Have you heard about some restrictions in cookies for tracking visitors to your sites?

One of our clients asked me about how to know really count of visitors.

Their site works on WordPress framework, hosted on classical NAMP hosting.

They can see some statistics from Yandex Metrika conter, but we was not sure about full coverage.

We gave him the AWStats, it takes data from Apache log files on hosting.

But there were no filter of robots and hearbeat systems such as UptimeRobot or Search Engines indexing robots.

I regret getting a late start in the InterSystems Analytics contest. I had tried a couple of times before to use Analytics, but I had not gotten too far. I have been recording financial transactions in Excel workbook ever since I had to retire Microsoft Money. Since my iris-for-money was not fully functional, I created a worksheet per account I was tracking. I had developed a CSP page in iris-for-money to import transactions by reading a CSV file. I realized this process requires escaping many characters that can cause the process to fail.
