Let's say I have a global named ^a and I need to export its nodes 1, 2, 3, 5 only.

Currently I write something like this:

Write $SYSTEM.OBJ.Export("a(1).gbl,a(2).gbl,a(3).gbl,a(5).gbl", "C:\Users\eduard\Desktop\a.xml")

Is there a way to write it shorter? I want to write global node once and list all the subscripts I need.

I want to convert a json, which passed on in the a REST call, into a request message.

I use method %ConvertJSONToObject of the %ZEN.Auxiliary.altJSONProvider class.

Set sc = ##class(%ZEN.Auxiliary.altJSONProvider).%ConvertJSONToObject(%request.Content, "TestRequest", .request)

Is there an alternative for this? I want to avoid to use the %ZEN library.

I've created a new WebClient using Studio Addon-s Soap Wizard.

I've tried to send a soap request using InvokeMethod.

However the Body comes empty <soapenv:Body></soapenv:Body>

I needed it to be

<soapenv:Body>
<ns:Ping/>
</soapenv:Body>

The docbook chapter "Importing XML into Objects" has the following tip:

You can call the Correlate() method repeatedly to correlate more than one element, although the examples in this chapter show only one correlation.

Does anyone have a good example of multiple correlations? I've got code running that does multiple imports of the same file while changing the correlation and it's inelegant and not really what I want.

I came across How to import a tab separated text file into a SQL table programmatically?, which appears to indicate that I can pass the filename and all records will be imported. However, when I put use the Import method only a single record gets imported. However, all records are imported if I use the management console to import the file by selecting it and choosing the options.

Has anyone ran into this in the past?

I was recently troubleshooting a problem on a Linux (RHEL) instance of 2016.1 at a site. For policy reasons their sysadmins wanted to update the Caché installation so it used network accounts for its cacheusr and iscagent users and groups instead of the locally-created ones that had been set up during original install of Caché.

To do this they ran various commands including chown

I am reviewing some code where the % sign has been used liberally to name arrays that are worked on by different methods within the same class. Apparently it is not good practice to name variables with a "%" sign as the first character because this could overwrite other similarly named variables from other developers, including ISC! Is there another way to make a variable public ?

Is there a GUI based way where I can configure my GetRest and then use EnsLib.REST.GenericService and EnsLib.REST.GenericOperation to configure my production and perform transformations?
