Sessions and specifically %session are paramount to our application to login users to the application (the Web Gateway user logs into the server and then users login to the application).

Code golf is a type of recreational computer programming competition in which participants strive to achieve the shortest possible source code that implements a certain algorithm.
Here's a list of Code Golf competitions we had on Developers Community.
I was following the Node.js: installation and connection test for use with Caché and was wondering how to populate a subscript with a value calculated by a built-in COS function eg. $HOROLOG without having to write wrappers for every built-in function or use temporary global storage. Any ideas?
Trying to connect Ensemble to RabbitMQ following this article I'm using Java Gateway and encountered the following problem - in all my calls I need to pass connection object, which is always the same but it takes a long time to create. Here's java code:
I was watching this video about IRIS and GitHub and all is clear to me how it works and how code from each branch is getting deployed to each IRIS environment but the process to deploy is manual. My question is how can I, if possible, to utilize gti-source-control from GitLab CICD pipeline to deploy code automaticaly after PR approval instead going to the Git UI?

We have a UNIX VM with an InterSystems IRIS instance which we cloned for testing purposes, and we have found that $System (which is used for self-identification in email notifications) is still showing the hostname of the original VM, rather than the hostname of the cloned VM. This is coming from $System.INetInfo.LocalHostHame().
Does anyone know what you need to change on a UNIX clone in order for it to display the appropriate new host name in $System?
Now I am getting the error "ERROR #5021: Directory '\home\project\shared\Samples-Integration-RedLights\data\SampleFiles\' does not exist." in my service.
While modifying the Directory path I am getting below error :
When developing a new Interoperability Production, it is quite natural that settings are initially added in the Production.
However, as soon as you want to move the Production from development to a test or staging environment, it becomes clear that some settings like HTTP Servers, IP addresses and/or ports need to be changed. In order to avoid these settings being overwritten during a redeployment later on, it is essential that you move these settings from the Production to the System Default settings.
We are planning to move our system from windows to Linux and I never used Linux before and all I know that is another operating system, so the new server has Linux which looks like just terminal session like Dos and as I ran "uname -r" command to check for the version in it shows some like "6.1.112-124.190.amzn2023.x86_64".
So for the available IRIS distribution and can only found versions for Ubuntu and Red Heat, so do I have to either install one of them to be able to install & run IRIS?
Sorry, somewhat of novice here, but how is a mac or a routine created into a binary or is there a way to hide your routines so that no other user can edit them? Like remove source code and have an executable?
I have created a business service that uses an adaptor that I wrote by extending Ens.InboundAdapter (i.e. the ADAPTOR parameter is set to my custom adaptor ).
The OnTask() method of my adaptor polls our IRIS database to determine which records are ready to be sent out of our system to an external target system.
If the record is ready the OnTask() method creates an instance of the Business Service and then calls the OnProcess() method sending in the record as the input.
