Sometimes when we develop a mockup or PoC there is a need for a simple interface that will provide data in IRIS in JSON against SQL queries.
And recently I contributed a simple module that does exactly that:
accepts SQL string and returns the JSON.
How to install? Just call:
zpm "install sql-rest"
If you install it in a namespace X it will setup a /sql endpoint to your system that will accept POST requests with SQL string and will return the result for you for the data available in the namespace X.
Throughout my years working within HealthShare\Ensemble, I have been able to mimic the Data Lookup page trimming it down to give our Ancillary areas access to modify their own data Lookup tables.
I am currently working on building a CSP application to allow certain users to update MS SQL tables by going through HealthShare. I thought all I had to was create the CSP pages and grant access. I am able to access it off my desktop, but when I have a user try to access the application, they get the sign in but then it doesn't do anything. So I think I might be missing something.
I am new to InsterSystems Cache - having a SQL Server background. However I am dealing with a Third Party who use InterSystems Cache to hold some of our data. To do some analysis I need to view a backup of the database. They are prepared to send me a backup.
My question is - how can I view this backup ( would this be the CACHE.dat file?).
Do I effectively need to have an installation of CACHE on my machine to be able to view this? Is it possible to view it from SQL Server?
I have an XSL question and I wanted to see if someone within a community can help me out.
To Summarize: I am working with XSL documents, single and multi-pages. Inside my style sheet XML document, which is supporting my pages, everything on the page, including a headers, footers and the items are calculated based on the portrait measurements. Pages come up on the screen as portrait, but sometimes, depending on dynamic data are wide, they do not print properly in portrait.
We are using BI tool for reporting which required to connect TrakCare system using JDBC Connection Can some can assist with Jar file which is required for the connection or anyone did befoe?
Hi all! We have just released a new online course, Getting Started with ICM, that provides an introduction to InterSystems Cloud Manager (ICM) -- one of the new technologies coming with the release of InterSystems IRIS!
According Wikipedia a mind map is a diagram used to visually organize information into a hierarchy, showing relationships among pieces of the whole. It is often created around a single concept, drawn as an image in the center of a blank page, to which associated representations of ideas such as images, words and parts of words are added. Major ideas are connected directly to the central concept, and other ideas branch out from those major ideas.
Here in %SYS, we have already examined users, resources, and roles. Now that we know how to set all of that up, we should give it a purpose. Next we will talk about applications! As you may expect, we will see various identical class methods defined here that we have seen in the previous classes. However, some of them will have some tiny yet significant differences.
VS Code has a powerful snippets capability, and its Marketplace offers a way for developers to publish their snippets so others can use them. However, publishing on Marketplace takes some effort and snippets targeting InterSystems coders will realistically only be of interest to a very small number of Marketplace visitors.
I've the below code that copies 15000 records into a global, problem is that taking around 11 secs to finish and I'm wondering if there is any faster way (eg. would copying the file into stream and look through the stream makes it faster!?) because I've hundreds of files I need to process every time.
I would like to merge json files. From a BPL we're running an operation to get data from a REST service cursors. We would like to run the REST calls until no cursor is present in the response of the rest call.
This works fine, but I would like to combine/merge the json outcome and write it to the disk.
I have an ObjectScript class with a Log property of type %Stream.GlobalCharacter. I need to search the end of each of the logs - is there a way to extract the last 10 lines of the Log stream for each object via SQL? Or is my only option to write an ObjectScript routine to walk the table and inspect each Log property one by one?
A small percentage of our patients have an extra hospital number which was imported from the previous PAS but is no longer in use. We only need to send MRN and NHS number and would like to suppress CMRN. Could you please advise me how to do it in DTL?
When creating a filter located on a dashboard that targets all, is there a way to narrow that filter down?
For example, in our data we have some dates that are well out of range due to data quality issues, but they still appear in the drop downs. Is there a way to say, only make available the below dates in the filter?
Another example, If we want to only look at Emergency data, it still provides all the wards for inpatient activity and activity in other hospitals, meaning, to get to just the Emergency wards you have to scroll through everything?
As you have probably noticed, online product documentation has advanced tremendously in the last few years. Among numerous improvements under the hood, documentation has become easier to read and navigate. And we now have a powerful search engine that gets you to what you need more accurately than we could ever do with the old system of shipping documentation in the product. While most of you have probably had nothing but positive impacts on your workflows, it has come to my attention that some of you may be having a slight problem accessing custom class documentation.
This is the time to show our passion for the InterSystems Developer Community! We're so proud to announce that InterSystems Global Masters is a finalist for an Influitive BAMMIE Award for Most Passionate Community🤩🤩🤩
Certainly, this is because of you, our great community members!
BUT, for us to win, we'll need to get more votes than other finalists - so we need your votes!
I've configured IRIS/HealthConnect with an external web server to support TLS encryption. It's installed on the same server as IRIS, but is a different instance and version of Apache httpd. That all works as expected.
I would also like to keep the "private" web server available, but I'm having an issue with using the fully-qualified domain name in the URL vs. just the hostname itself.
If I use http://servername:52773/csp/sys/UtilHome.csp to log on, all is well.
Besides objectscript's own list, array data structure, are there any other data structures that have been implemented, similar to the "collection" package in java, or is there a ready sorting tools for the collection class.
