Currently running on limited hardware, Online Backups are becoming a bottleneck for our system.

For now, we are exploring an option to backup individual databases, or groups of them, thus reducing RAM requirements per individual backup task. To do that, however, we'd need a separate Backup List for our Backup Tasks. We did not find an option to do so in web portal, so currently we are looking at inheriting from system backup tasks and Backup.General classes to generate Backup List before backing up and then performing the backup as normal.

Creating and listing XData definitions

Hi InterSystems Community!

The ObjectScript language of InterSystems IRIS has the ability to extend classes using a very interesting feature called XData.

It is a section in your class that can be used to create custom definitions to be used within the class itself and also externally.

To create one or more XData definitions for your class is very easy, see the example:

My challenge is getting the unique identifer out of the RawContent column in the EnsLib_HL7 table.

Wondering if a temp table can be created to store the value then do a join?

Problems with zlib1.dll

Hello,

I'm having a problem with %SQL.Statement.

I have a ClassMethod on Cache that I'm trying to access via - this.db.invoke_classmethod.

When I get to my %Prepare I get a <DYNAMIC LIBRARY LOAD> error. Upon checking cconsole.log I find the following...

NEED NUMBER ROWS IN SQL SELECT

Hi guys,

I'm trying find a way to create a row with the number of each row.

For example:

In the SQL above, i want a way to create a collum with the number of corresponding row, in this case:

2

3

In SQl SERVER i can use FOR, RANK or ROM_NUMBER to do this, but, i can't find a way to do the same in cache SQL.

Can someone help me?

InterSystems announces another developer preview release, as part of the developer preview program for the 2022.3. Many updates and enhancements have been added in 2022.3 and there are also brand new capabilities, such as the new FHIR SQL Builder, improvements for Columnar Storage, and support to SUSE 15 SP4 and Oracle Linux 9. Some of these features or improvements may not be available in this current developer preview.

HTTP request with open stream

Hi Guys,

This link (https://github.com/CassiaNetworks/CassiaSDKGuide/blob/master/node_exampl...) uses Javascript request to open a a steam and collect data in an array (screenshot below) and I'm trying to replicate this with Cache script with HTTP request which is connecting Ok but don't know how can I collect data because the code is hanging at Set tSc=Httprequest.Get(HttpURL) and cannot execute S BLEConnect=Httprequest.HttpResponse.StatusLine or any line after it.

Hello,

I want to access the HL7 Router settings from within the HL7 rule. Goal is to create a New class by extending "EnsLib.HL7.MsgRouter.RoutingEngine".

Then create a PARAMETER ProcessMessage which can be set to an integer value for the HL7 Router.

Create a Rule class and based on the value of this setting ProcessMessage
process/not process the messages.

Hi All,
I am implementing REST API's in IRIS using the below link as a guide.
I chose this approach so i could have a single entry point for requests regardless of namespace

It was mentioned in an earlier version of the IRIS documentation that IRIS and Cache should not be installed on the same physical server (port clashes?).

I can't see this warning in the current version of the documentation.

Could someone clarify if this has been resolved in the latest release of IRIS?

Send txt file thourgh TCP

Hi,

I'm trying to send a txt file over TCP.

The txt file contains lines, every line has a fixed length : 179 characters , however it seems that this length vary while sending it!

So, I need to send the content of the txt file as it is without adding anything.

I'm using as operation EnsLib.TCP.PassthroughOperation.

I need your help please.

SQL Query for Range

Hello,

I have a question related to running an SQL query for range of data.

I am running a query like:

Select A,B from table_name where A>=12345 AND A<=12390

- Where A and B are my two of the properties under the mentioned table/class definition

- A is an integer property

Question: The result of the above query does not return me all the values between the mentioned range of integer though I do have all the values in that range. I see that some of the values are missing in result.

We start this new article refreshing what we did in the previous EMPI configuration articles:

  • Installation in Standalone mode the Patient Index on a HealthShare instance.
  • Configuration of basic parameters to start working with the EMPI.
  • Definition of indexes and weights for NICE process.

Very well, we are practically ready to start rolling our EMPI. We only have one detail left, to start the production created by the installation to be able to start working.

Hi:

I have an sql outbound adapter. Sometimes we have trouble connecting to the database.

The timeout in develpment is set to 15 seconds in live it is 150 seconds as it is an always connected Buisness operation.

I thought adding E=S or/and X=S would suspend the message. Why does it not?

Is the only way around then adding something to the buisness operation itself/ creating a customised SQL buisness operation rather than EnsLib.SQL.OutboundAdapter?

I am trying to use the %ListOfDataTypes functionality, but am hitting a limit of 50 characters for each entry, when being used in a Web Service. Is there a way to increase the number of characters that can be used in the %ListOfDataTypes through a web service?
