However, this child process need to refer some shared libraries in RUNTIME,so I have to set up the proper paths to the environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH, is anyone know how to do this?

XML.Reader correlate produces ERROR #6277: Type attribute does not specify valid type for XML input tag

I'm using %XML.Reader to open an XML file and use it's correlate method to try and convert it to a class.

The conversion fails with an error of:

ERROR #6277: Type attribute, LimitedFreeTextFieldInstance, does not specify valid type for XML input tag: Field (ending at line 3 character 118).

Looping Through Grouped NTE Segments

Hi!

Does anyone have a cleaner approach than this for looping through grouped NTE segments in order to set the segment ID in an ORM? I am aiming to avoid the NTE segments that may follow the PID segment and find the NTE's that follow the OBR segment. By using the below If statement in the While loop, I'm finding NTE's that have comments in the fourth field (PID NTE's tend not to have these in the messaging I'm seeing, I'm awaiting confirmation on this), as well as finding my newly inserted NTE segment using $FIND to locate the colon (I've concatenated some values).

What port to use for server configuration in Atelier?

Just starting to use Atelier and having problems with making server connections. I have tried both the super server port and the web server port and both fail with either Unexpected end of file from server (Secure connection disabled) or PKIX path building failed (Secure connection enabled). On a different server I get Connection refused: check the web server configuration.

Anyone run into this before?

Azure Telemetry with IRIS

Hi,

I search how to send telemetry data from IRIS to azure. It is possible in other languages with openTelemetry SDK. But there are not SDK for interSystems platform. We would like something totaly automated/integrated.

(We already have telemetry data with prometheus and grafana).

Do you haves any solutions for that ?

Making an existing property Required in a Persistent class

Say I have a persistent class in IRIS with an optional property EmailOptIn:

Ensemble as a Data lake

We have been storing raw messages in a MySQL database for DR and ad hoc purposes. We are thinking of using an Ensemble instance as our data lake instead. We could segregate the source data by namespace or by global. But either way we'll want a custom global to index the data for data retrieval performance purposes.

Anyone else taking this approach? Any feedback?

About the callback method %OnSaveFinally()

Is there anyone using this callback in the code? I was searching in the latest IRIS documentation for any handy callbacks of the %Persistent class which allows me to execute some codes just right after a transaction has been committed (TCOMMIT). The description of this %OnSaveFinally() sounds the thing I want because it said:

No Namespaces found

Hello!

I'm trying to use iKnow but I get the following error "No iKnow-enabled namespaces found" in the Management Portal.

It was working on the 2015.2.2 version but now on 2016.2.0 it doesn't. I very new to Caché and iKnow so it's probably a simple problem.

I was able to create a iKnow domain using the terminal and I can view it in the learning portal (http://localhost:57772/csp/sys/exp/_iKnow.UI.IndexingResults.zen).

Reducing select fields hurts query performance

We have a query that looks something like:

select a, b, c, d, e, f

from tbla inner join tblb on tbla.....

This query runs in the expected 200-400 ms range.

If we run the same query but reduce the select to just:

select a

from tbla inner join tblb on tbla.....

then the query runs for 30 minutes or more.

The rest of the query is identical. Is there a logical explanation for how this can happen?

IRIS Quarterly Container only releases and Studio

After attending the Intersystems DACH conference in Germany at the end of last November and taking part in a few workshops about containers and microservices I took the plunge and installed Docker on home Windows PC, downloaded IRIS 2018.2 preview and got that up and running. Good stuff and I gave myself a pad on the shoulder at that point.
