How can IRIS productions be deployed more quickly and with greater peace of mind?
The aim of interoperability productions is to enable you to connect systems in order to transform and route messages between them. To connect systems, you develop, configure, deploy and manage productions that integrate several software systems.
So last night I was doing a deployment which had a query to select from a large dataset of joined tables, to iterate through and populate data in a new table.
This was done in a classmethod using embedded SQL and the %PARALLEL keyword. On a testing environment with the same dataset, this worked perfectly a few days earlier.
I cannot get any further hint from the error message in red in this screenshot. Is there any clue or details about the connection failure that I could look for?
The basic idea is to use Vectors in the mathematical sense. I used geographic coordinates. These are of course only 2-dimensional but much easier to follow as vectors in text analysis with >200 dimensions.
Tring to Performing following script in IRIS but do not know how to format Date. Normally, I would use TO_DATE or TO_TIMESTAMP in the actual queue statement below, but since I'm using Prepared Statements, I do not know how to format date in 'values' that is being used in the %Execute. It generates errors. I'm updating an Oracle Database via a SQL JDBC Gateway Connection. Does anyone know how to pass in Dates?
How to read the HL7 V2.5 messages irrespective of message type to Iris database ?
Source system sends HL7 messages of multiple message types to Intersystems through TCP and these messages are to be inserted/read into iris SQL database.
I am currently using D $SYSTEM.SQL.Shell() command or management portal to retrieve the data from database. I just learned we can also run cache table sql queries in MS access. MS access already installed on my machine.
I need to ask how I can connect my database of USER or sample namespace in MS access to run these SQL queries.
The boss (reasonable intelligent ;-) wants to connect to the cache database through Excel, but unless I explain what he's looking for (field names DB names etc) then I can see him continually coming back for "what's the link here and how do I get the delivery company name etc etc"
is there a SAFE way I can give him access to our database using an intelligent visual user interface.
I had thought about the SQL Query Builder within the management portal, but the thought of giving him access to all of the other functionality of the management portal.
For example, I have two timestamp values ('2024-04-01 10:00:00', '2024-04-01 11:30:30'). I would like to find the difference between these two timestamps, and I need the result in hours:minutes:seconds (hh:mm:ss) format.
Expected Output: 01:30:30
Note: I need an SQL query command. I should not use ClassMethod, Function, or Stored Procedure.
Could anyone please provide me with an SQL query for my question?

I am calling a stored procedure over an ODBC connection and every time I call it there are several warnings written to the log event {Found no Parameter 1 (used as 1) for query}.I seem to be getting this on every query executed and that seems to happen a number of times the query parameters are per query and its filling up my disc.
1) Is there a way to suppress these warnings as the query seems to be executed and data written to the database?
I want to switch between different DSNs in business operations to query different servers, but the DO ..Adapter.DSNSet("DSNName") code will report a 15-second connection timeout error when switching DSNs. What should I do?
In ObjectScript you have a wide collection of functions that return some value typically:
set variable = $somefunction(param1,param2, ...)
There is nothing special about that. But there is a set of functions that I classify as LEFT SIDED The specialty of them is that you can use them also on the left of the equal operator as a target in the SET command:
In this article, I will introduce my application iris-RAG-Gen .
Iris-RAG-Gen is a generative AI Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) application that leverages the functionality of IRIS Vector Search to personalize ChatGPT with the help of the Streamlit web framework, LangChain, and OpenAI. The application uses IRIS as a vector store.
So i want to use the INSERT OR UPDATE command so i can update a COUNTER for a given name:
INSERT OR UPDATE myTable SET name='Omer', counter = counter + 1;
as you can see with the above code - if the row is non-existent then we get an error because COUNTER is NULL! I tried the following to fix this but all have failed:
The program below works perfectly when I call it directly from the Terminal, however when I call it from within a CSP it does not work (It does not do the SELECT).
In the USER namespace, the program works both in the Terminal and on the CSP , but in another namespace it only works when called directly in the Terminal.
