I'm having trouble defining the mapping needed to take the very large base64 string in OBX:5.5, and map it to an XML virtual document property that supports Stream.GlobalCharacter. I know from within the DTL you have to use custom code to manage the segment due to its size.

It works just fine and the output is in the ^SPOOL global.

However, I'm trying to avoid writing to disk.

I can't find anything besides using the SPOOL device that will allow the use of the "@" indirection.

I think there have been articles published here before but I'm struggling to find them:

I'd like to be able to create my own customised version of the official IRIS Community Edition Container, eg with Node.js and a number of modules pre-installed. So, for example, can I create my own Dockerfile that begins with something like:

FROM containers.intersystems.com/intersystems/iris-community-arm64:2023.2.0.227.0

and then I can add my own stuff to it?

... or is there another recommended approach?

I tried to execute below query in Managementportal

We are experimenting with IIS, as the PWS will be gone in newer versions.

The code which is executed, takes 15ms to run. If we execute it through PWS (REST), there is some overhead and the total execution time is 40ms, which is acceptable. However, if we go through IIS, it takes 150ms or sometimes even more.

Both PWS and IIS are running on the same server as IRIS in this case. No optimisations have been done on IIS.

Any suggestions on where to look/what to optimize on IIS?

I'm trying to use LOAD DATA to insert 11k (11,377) rows of data. LOAD BULK DATA is not available for the version of IRIS I am using.

After calling LOAD DATA it says only 5,500 rows has been inserted. The LOAD DATA docs says any error rows are skipped and a count of skipped rows can be found in %SQL_Diag.Result however there are no results here. There are no errors in the xDBC error log either.

Why have over half the rows been skipped?

How can I pass a large string to classmethod params (e.g. large pictures) without getting MAXSTRING error?

I have a class with two methods

Class Foo.Bar

ClassMethod Helper()

ClassMethod Generated() [ CodeMode = objectgenerator ]

}

Since the method Generated is run before the class is compiled, the call to do ..Helper() fails. Is there a way around this other than manual inlining?

a customer engineer asked me how to use Http basic authentication on a Ensemble SOAP service. Anyone has done this before?

When secure SOAP service from Web Application setting, by select "password" for "Allowed Authentication Methods", it expected WSS, username and password in SOAP head. The customer hospital would like to add user authentication on sopa service, but SOAP client team prefer to add it on http header, instead of on SOAP header.

I've recently updated the python version of a linux server running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.10 (Ootpa). We have an instance 2023.1 running there, and whenever I run the $System.Pyhthon.Shell() I can see it's still pointing to the old version. From within linux, it runs the latest one (we've change all the links to the new 3.11, so no scripts are broken).

So I guess the problem comes from the fact irispython is still compiled using old python version. So, how can I do to force IRIS to use the current version on the server, or update the irispython file?

Is it possible to configure mirror of the DB between two VMs using APIs like that one? I assume, based on the description, it can be done but on the same instance but I'm not sure how to do that for two separate VMs. I know how to use IRIS portal and set up Mirrored Members connections but now trying to automate that process.
