I'm trying to validate a HS.FHIRServer.Interop.Request received from an HS.FHIRServer.Interop.Service, which looks more or less like this example

It is quite intuitive to gain access to basic properties like

$$$TRACE("Request Method: " _ pRequest.Request.RequestMethod)

But when I try to get access to the AdditionalInfoItems (especially the 'ClientAddr' element) simplicity is over.

As $$$TRACE("Request contains " _ pRequest.Request.AdditionalInfo.Count() _ " Info items.") results in printout of a correct number of elements, a for loop

for tCount=1:1:pRequest.Request.

I have csv date file with date values like this "4/10/2021" for April 10, 2021. I defined a table with this property: Property TranDate As %Library.Date.

I capture error

[SQLCODE: <-104>:<Field validation failed in INSERT, or value failed to convert in DisplayToLogical or OdbcToLogical>] [Location: <ServerLoop>] [%msg: <Field 'dc_data_finance.transact.TranDate' (value '4/10/2021') failed validation Field ...

I do not really want to change TranDate to %String. How can I import "4/10/2021" into %Date property?

Hello developers, I'm a newbie to Intersystems technologies and I started to work with Caché and Ensemble, and to be more specific I'm working with systems integration. In a scenario where I need to develop new software from scratch, would it be better to develop this new software using REST APIs? Does anyone have any recommendations about courses?

I read under Topics and Rules of InterSystems Datasets Contest:

• Class naming convention. Start the class names with: dc.data.your_name.class. E.g. if there is a dataset on trading data the class names could be: dc.data.finance.transaction, dc.data.finance.instrument.

I created a class “dc.data.finance.transaction”. I expected that it would not compile, because I remembered “Date” was a reserved word in SQL, and one of its properties was named “Date.”  To my surprise, the class compiled successfully. When I tried to execute query “select * from dc_data_finance.

I have a csv file with 13 columns.

The header row is:

"Date","Check","Merchant","Category","SubCategory","Memo","Credit","Debit","Bill Pay","Debit Card","Account","Balance","Status"

The first data row is:

"","","","","","","","","","","Cash","56",""

I have created a SQL table to LOAD DATA into. When I ran

LOAD DATA FROM FILE '/irisrun/repo/data/finance-transactions-08-Jan-2022_08-25.csv' into dc_data_finance.transact

I got Cash into “Account” property (correct) and I saw 56 in “Status” property. I want to skip the “Balance” column.

I use Microsoft Query via Excel to query an Intersystems database. 

Since upgrading from CACHE to Intersystems, lots of reports fail to refresh twice - by which I mean I can open the report (which may have several separate queries) and query the database once, and then it will refuse to reconnect.

I get:
[IRIS ODBC][State : S1000][Native Code 417] .... Access denied

If I then close and reopen excel, I can run the query again.

Is there some generic way to output a %SQL.StatementResult to CSV?

What is the correct data type for decimal numbers precision 5?

I tried %Numeric with Scale 5, but not worked, see:

The "Download Caché Evaluation" at the top of this forum takes the user to a page that only allows her to download versions of IRIS. What am I missing here? Does IRIS encompass Caché? I've wandered around both on the main website and in the Developer Community site looking for a way to only get Caché... Very frustrating.

Is it possible to call java programs inside SQL statements, like the new LOAD Data, or is this just internal?

Recently, I needed to create templates for newsletters.
I couldn't find any tools, so I decided to use the CSP (Caché Server Pages) to build the templates.

Let's figure out how to make a newsletter similar to Weekly OEX Digest.

Weekly OEX Digest

There are strict requirements for HTML email messages.
Basic requirements:

1. The page should be static;
2. You have to use inline styles for mailer compatibility (so much code);
3. Use custom fonts, some images, etc.

I am a newbie who is trying to learn how to set up a basic connection to Iris using a node js application. I am astounded at the lack of documentation there is on how to do this and even more concerning there are a few errors within the documentation. For example I am on the Native API application within the below link.

And it says that you need to create a directory the thing is that it doesn't state which directory this needs to be or any other history.

trying to lock a table via .Net Command results in IrisExcpetions no mater what i try; 

Documentation says the Command is supported by TSQL Implementation - any known tricks how to implement this comand?

My plan is to use just plain SQL. So I've made a few experiments with the new feature LOAD DATA.

Unfortunately all loads produce errors like:  
 Error: [SQLCODE: <-400>:<Fatal error occurred>]
[Error: <<UNDEFINED>zExecute+83^%sqlcq.OPENFLIGHTS.cls4.1 *%qparsets>]
[Location: <ServerLoop>]

The statements I use looks like this:

This happend with the preview release "IRIS Version 2021.2.0.617". While this error occurs, most rows are written to the database, but some rows are missing.

The %CSP.REST class uses XDATA to mapping REST calls (https://docs.intersystems.com/irislatest/csp/docbook/DocBook.UI.Page.cls?KEY=GREST_csprest), so in this article you will see how to use XData into your apps as code, not only as documentation.

When you write XData comments/definitions, the IRIS store it into %Dictionary.ClassDefinition (for classes) %Dictionary.MethodDefinition (for methods).

I was a Senior Sales Engineer with InterSystems for 14 years with a further four years working for InterSystems TrakHealth. I started working for the InterSystems UK office and from there I spent several years travelling to InterSystems offices in Europe, Scandinavia, the Middle East, Israel and eventually ending up in the South African office.
