Introduction

This article aims to explore how the FHIR-PEX system operates and was developed, leveraging the capabilities of InterSystems IRIS.

Streamlining the identification and processing of medical examinations in clinical diagnostic centers, our system aims to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of healthcare workflows. By integrating FHIR standards with InterSystems IRIS database Java-PEX, the system help healthcare professionals with validation and routing capabilities, ultimately contributing to improved decision-making and patient care.

I created the iris-fhir-portal as part of the current contest InterSystems IRIS for Health FHIR, and I'm writing this quick overview to introduce the features that my application offers.

The goal of iris-fhir-portal is to show how easy we can create a Patient Chart using FHIR capabilities in IRIS for Health and empower the user with their own data.

We have now released a new learning path to get you started with FHIR: Building Basic FHIR Integrations with InterSystems IRIS for Health. In this path, you'll learn the basics of FHIR, how to set up FHIR endpoints in InterSystems IRIS for Health, consume data into the FHIR repository and transform FHIR data, manage FHIR APIs with InterSystems API Manager, and query for FHIR resources using a client application.

InterSystems has corrected a defect that can cause corruption of databases and journal files on AIX systems with IBM POWER8 or later POWER processors. This defect can be triggered only when database or journal encryption is in use.

Is it planned that LOAD DATA takes into account several DATE/DATETIME formats with, for example, a parameter indicating the format used in the source data?
