Guidance on modifying class definitions and switching my application to the new definitions

Hello,

I have a property which I need to move from one class definition to another as follows:

Old definition:

Class SCHED.SchedEntry
{
  
  Property Experiment as %String;

  Property ScanSlot as list of TracerEntry;

}


Class SCHED.TracerEntry
{
  
  Property Tracer As %String

}

I want to move the Experiment property to the TracerEntry class so that there is a different Experiment allowed for each ScanSlot, like this:

REST Data Limit

I'm experimenting with sending large amounts of data in a POST payload to be stored as a stream. However I've noticed that no matter how many characters are in the message, Cache only gets about 32k of them, cutting off the rest. Conversely as expected it can only send about 32k worth of characters in a payload.

Before I get creative, is there a REST message size limit that can be changed? Or is there something else going on here?

How to convert SQL persistent classes to JSON output

How to convert SQL persistent classes to JSON output - I have tried 1 option but appears to be very lengthy process.

I have many other SQL storage's defined and have to expose them as well to JSON. Can anyone please suggest a better approach.

My column names usually match with my Json properties.

My User.TestClass is the class with GetJsonList() as my method to return /output JSON formatted data.

The Code tried and SQL storage structure are as follows -

How to get the length of A Segment In HL7

I am trying to get the values of a PID:3 segment to an array but I will need to know the length of the segment to process .

Read File with HL7 messages and coun number of FT1

Hello team,

I am trying to do a basic read file of HL7 messages. Need to count how many FT1 segments are there in each file and how many messages are in each file.

Any help will be appreciated. I have the stream object.

Just need to loop through the stream and get the info in some way.

How to iterate a local array with $QUERY() in a job ?

In Caché, it's possible to iterate a local array using $QUERY() :

set a("foo") = 50
set a("bar") = 30

set key = "a"
for
{
     set key = $QUERY(@key)
     quit:key="" 
     write key_" = "_@key
}

This code works perfectly, unless it's called in a job (eg: a routine called by the JOB command).

Dynamic SQL and Setting SQLCODE

Is there a reason why calling %ExecDirect() (or %Execute) won't set the %SQLCODE of the result set to 100 even when the query returns no data?

Here is the code in question with a bit of contrivance to force the issue:

set statement = ##class(%SQL.Statement).%New()
set result = ##class(%SQL.Statement).%ExecDirect(statement,"select top 0 0 from Example.Testing")
w result.%SQLCODE

The %SQLCODE is set to 0 in this case. The same happens if I use %Prepare and %Execute, e.g.

ISCAgent debug

Good day!
Is there an opportunity to debug the ISCAgent behaviour (in Linux)? ISCAgent uses /etc/iscagent/iscagent.conf as configuration file, but in docs I've found a description only for two parameters (port number and interface - http://docs.intersystems.com/latest/csp/docbook/DocBook.UI.Page.cls?KEY=...). Other parameters I can see by running /usr/local/etc/cachesys/ISCAgentCtrl status:

Managing UTF-8 characters on the database with a REST application

Hi everyone,

This is:

Cache for UNIX (Red Hat Enterprise Linux for x86-64) 2016.2 (Build 736U) Fri Sep 30 2016 12:25:56 EDT

The server is on RedHat Linux while the browser is running on Windows (Firefox).

I am helping a partner build a complex modern HTML5 web application that talks with Caché using REST calls. They have been using %CSP.REST very successfully. Security works great as well.

Suppose I have a CSP app, which provides some service.

And the code of my App knows the name of the CSP App in form: /myappname

How can I programmatically obtain the URL for CSP apps to send the full qualified link to the users(e.g. via email) of my app?

Indexing null value

Dear community!

I have problem with index NULL value. Unique index doesn't work for this case. If I use insert and one of parameter is "NULL". Message of constraint doesn't appear and row is inserted into table successfully. How Can I use index with NULL?
