Hi, I am trying to get my values into a mySQL DB but for some reason it doesnt seem to go into the DB. I do not get any errors. Would appreciate some guidance on this.
I am using &html<> to output some CSS to my page (which is a class-based and not a tag-based page), and the selectors contain the '>' character which the compiler chokes on. How can I escape the '>' so it still displays as such in the web page source but doesn't trip up the compiler?
I'm trying write a JavaScript generator to perform pattern match validations using existing pattern match expressions in a legacy application.
I could make a server call to perform the pattern match operation but is there a way to automatically translate the pattern match expressions into RegEx expressions so I can perform the operation in JavaScript on the client to save making an Ajax call back to the server?

I'm trying to calculate the percentage of the top level with the SUM function. But I don't understand the PARENT behavior. It does not work in any way!
What do you do if you want to have the ID field have a meaningful name for your application?
Sometimes it comes to pass that when you're making a new table that you want to have the unique row identifier (a.k.a. IDKEY) to be a field that has a name that is meaningful for your data. Moreover, sometimes you want to set this value directly. Caché fully supports this functionality and it works Suppose you have a class Test.Kyle. The data will be stored like so:
Is there a recommended way to deal with the unattended reboot that happens when Windows Updates are applied? These reboots cause issues with running Ensemble produtions.
Interoperability on Python (IoP) is a proof-of-concept project designed to showcase the power of the InterSystems IRIS Interoperability Framework when combined with a Python-first approach.IoP leverages Embedded Python (a feature of InterSystems IRIS) to enable developers to write interoperability components in Python, which can seamlessly integrate with the robust IRIS platform. This guide has been crafted for beginners and provides a comprehensive introduction to IoP, its setup, and practical steps to create your first interoperability component. By the end of this article, you will get a clear understanding of how to use IoP to build scalable, Python-based interoperability solutions.
We are planning to move our system from windows to Linux and I never used Linux before and all I know that is another operating system, so the new server has Linux which looks like just terminal session like Dos and as I ran "uname -r" command to check for the version in it shows some like "6.1.112-124.190.amzn2023.x86_64".
So for the available IRIS distribution and can only found versions for Ubuntu and Red Heat, so do I have to either install one of them to be able to install & run IRIS?
After installing IRIS 2023.1 on a live copy of our production machine our REST Service now consumes a CSP Session with every request. The request is handled as expected, but uses one of the 5 CSP Session per license. So after 25 requests, the license is used up. The Grace time always shows 0 and the session stay for very long. (Maybe the 900 Seconds timeout). On Caché 2018, we had the same settings for the Webapp and there, only a single Session was set for all requests. The Caché request didn't use any cookies.
we have a class with over 24 million records and despite indexes querying is still slow, so we are looking to create a copy or clone of our current class have an scheduled task that runs every night or month, copy old records this new clone (eg. from last month) and remove old them from our current class.
I'm running a method on an instance of Cache 2010, which, when compiled, has $$$OK in it's .int code. This line throws an error, telling me that "the OK macro isn't recognized".
Some things I've tried;
- I looked it %occStatus, and the macro definition of OK is there.
- I changed $$$OK to 1 by hand in the .int code. It compiled successfully, but each time I recompile the original class, it's going to put that $$$OK back
When i try to configure my server connection in Atelier (Eclipse), i am getting the below exception.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Provider org.glassfish.jersey.internal.RuntimeDelegateImpl could not be instantiated: java.lang.IllegalStateException: No generator was provided and there is no default generator registered
It was all working fine and i think that the only thing which i have done was installing some windows updates. Now when i try to configure the server configuration i started getting the above error, any suggestions to fix this?
Hello again and welcome to the next tutorial on this series: Part 4 - Sharing data across router methods. Here we are going to learn how to share a object containing data that is available for read across every router methods.
You're required to complete at least the Part 1 before entering this one. Still, this is supposed to be a really short tutorial, since there isn't much to be said about data sharing.
InterSystems worked closely with the Red Hat Insights team to implement a curated set of recommendations for system administrators to ensure the best experience running InterSystems IRIS on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Welcome dear members of the Community to the presentation and first article of a small project that will demonstrate the capabilities of InterSystems IRIS to provide full backup functionality for a web application developed in Angular. This article will be limited to presenting the concept as well as the InterSystems IRIS functionalities used in a general way, going into more detail in subsequent articles.

Hi All, I am implementing REST API's in IRIS using the below link as a guide. I chose this approach so i could have a single entry point for requests regardless of namespace
a sample form the HIHLib.REST.Server class i am using is below. my question is does IRIS and CSP cache responses for requests to the CSP.REST class? and if so what parameters or properties do i need to enable?
I have a custom classes that that I use with EnsLib.SQL.OutboundAdapter to convert HL7v2 messages to SQL INSERT statements to write results to an SQL database.
Weirdly the management portal is not drawing the the lines between my process and operation when viewing my production on the ' Ensemble > Production Configuration' screen. Clicking the green dot flashes the 'computing connections' message, and highlights my operation, but no lines get rendered:
