SQL is a standard language for storing, manipulating and retrieving data in relational databases.

Hello all,

I have a Recordset object which contains data from a table "XYZ".

Currently i use this object to extract data using %Get(COL1,COL2...) in a loop and than pass it to a function which inserts the data into another dynamically created Table "ABC" for each record. This takes a lot of time when 100's of records.

Is there a way i can directly copy a RecordSet to a dynamic table without looping through..?

Something like copy Recordset (COL1,COL2..)--> "ABC"

I need to show the absence of data, so I have to join the list of predefined values with a result of a select statement.
However, it seems like Table Value Constructors in JOIN are either not supported, or I do not understand the syntax.
Basically, I am going for something like this:

Select v.valueId, m.name 
 From (values (1), (2), (3), (4), (5)) v(valueId)
     left Join otherTable m
        on m.id = v.valueId

Is it supported in Cache SQL or not?

I have been using the query below and it was working fine but now it's giving a SQL error. There were no changes made that could cause this to stop working. There is no Field 'APPLICATIONID' in the table.

I'm using Cache SQL and want the ability to choose a specific index.

I've boiled the problem down to one table and simplified the query down to

SELECT *
FROM Registration.PatResp
WHERE SchedApptNum=8450022

SchedApptNum is indexed, but instead of using that column, "Show Plan" indicates that it's looping through the entire Registration.PatResp table on Id (the primary key for the table).

I've done a tune-table with no change.

Hi guys,

My client has a requirement to add a column of random numbers to the query result.

I wrote a function as below:

Class Utils.SqlUtility Extends %RegisteredObject
{

ClassMethod GetSomeNumber(intInput As %Integer) As %Integer [ SqlName = GetNumber, SqlProc ]
{
Return $R(intInput)
}

}

But in the returned sql result, every row share the same value, as below,

SELECT Utils.GetNumber('456'),
ID, Citizenship, DOB, FirstName, Gender, IDNumber, LastName, PatientNumber, PhoneNumber
FROM CDR.Patient

hi

I execute sql like this: select * from DHC_PatBillDetails where PBD_PBO_ParRef>='2046121'

error message:

but the sql: select * from DHC_PatBillDetails where PBD_PBO_ParRef='2046121' can be executed successfully

why?

Sql request

Hi All,

I need to build a search using a lot of filters, what's the best way to implement my sql requests.

1 sql request per property, or only one "big" sql request ?

what's the disadvantage of using lot of indexes ? Thank you

Does anybody know if there is an easy way to know if the execution of the command $System.SQL.PurgeForTable went well/wrong?

The documentation describes that a string is returned, but in fact there is a nice Quit "" in the code.

Maybe inside PurgeForTable^%apiSQL there is any process variable set when it goes well/wrong?

I want to INSERT a record in a database using JDBC in OBJECTSCRIPT. At the same time, I want to obtain the insert ID. Is there a way to achieve this using the SQL Outbound adapter?

My code is something like this now:
