This article contains the tutorial document for a Global Summit academy session on Text Categorization and provides a helpful starting point to learn about Text Categorization and how iKnow can help you to implement Text Categorization models. This document was originally prepared by Kerry Kirkham and Max Vershinin and should work based on the sample data provided in the SAMPLES namespace.

As some customers recently received new license keys, I received some questions why their new license does not seem to work, other than the expiration date being reached. So far I was able to solve all of them with this short list of things to look at.

1. Is the date on your laptop set properly?

2. For Europe (and possibly other regions): the expiration date in the cache.key file is in US format, MM/DD/YYY, while most people there are used to DD/MM/YYY. This is obvious if you have an expiration date like 11/30/2016, but not with dates like 3/12/2016 (expires in March, not December).

Question Laura Cavanaugh · Sep 9, 2016

I know %CSP.Daemon is supposed to clean up old CSP sessions (?).  In my management portal, under System/ License Usage, I see 33 "Units" used (and there are 33 licenses  in use), but usernames from old IP address and that are not being  used.  Their active times are often in the millions of seconds.  They are not "on" the system right now.

At most, only 3 users are on the system right now.

Are these supposed to be cleaned up?  Can I clean them up programmactially, and how would I know if they're not active?

Thanks,

Laura

I've noticed that Management portal somehow manages to allow a single user to be in different namespaces in different tabs in the same application (i.e. Management Portal).  I've looked at my Processes, however, and see that all of my processes using MgmtPortal think I'm in %SYS, even though 2 of them are looking at globals in two different namespaces; NamespaceA and NamespaceB.

I can even fool MgmtPortal because the first time I try to look at a global in NamespaceA it thinks I'm in %SYS!  After a refresh, however, I can see the global in NamespaceA.

How does MgmtPortal do this?

At the Global Summit several folks had mention that they developed their own production monitor. I am looking to create a monitor similar to eGate that we only display those Services/Processes/Operations that are in trouble, and those Errors that are showing up in the Event Log. Does anyone have any examples of this?

Thanks

Hello!

I'm trying to use iKnow but I get the following error "No iKnow-enabled namespaces found" in the Management Portal.

It was working on the 2015.2.2 version but now on 2016.2.0 it doesn't. I very new to Caché and iKnow so it's probably a simple problem.

I was able to create a iKnow domain using the terminal and I can view it in the learning portal (http://localhost:57772/csp/sys/exp/_iKnow.UI.IndexingResults.zen).

What can I do to make it work in Atelier? I've tried authenticating with SYS:SYS and USER:USER but neither seem to have any namespaces.

Very thankful for any help!
