We have a licensed version of Ensemble but for now, we use only the DB capabilities of Cache. As we create a custom Namespace, for e.g "Test", a new Ensemble Namespace is automically created by the system --"TestENS".
Is there any way where we can identify the system created ENS namespaces ?
I would begin the process on Saturday morning, but am concerned, due to the size, that it would not complete by Sunday evening. I understand that the process is setup so that it can run with users on the system, however, as the advice indicates, this would not be ideal.
Can the process be stopped if it does not complete by the time you want/need it to?
Do you know how to guestimate how long the process would take?
I am searching, but i cannot find a way to call a Procedure in Caché with PHP. Using .NET we have the Intersystems.Data.CacheClient.CacheCommand and we make a call in a Procedure. How i can do the same in PHP?
How can I get the current date and time in the destination file when I'm using Stream.CopyFrom because Stream.CopyFrom preserves the date and time of the source file.
(We are in contact with IS support for this problem but I would like to ask Community too, perhaps somebody experienced this problem in the past)
Hello Community,
we need your help with Cache 2017.2 freezing on Linux machine.
Since we moved our primary production Cache from Windows to Linux in the begging of this year, we have experienced system freezing twice. Yesterday without any good reason Cache stopped to respond with the log shown below.
I was playing around with the python binding for caché (2018.1.4) and I ran into some problems.
When executing the class query "List" from SYS.Database the pythonbind interface throws an exception, that seems to be caused by a mismatch of the defined SQL datatypes for this query and what is actually returned (or the lack of type conversion in the pythonbind interface).
Is this a known issue ? Are there solutions/workarounds for this, Or is this a bug ?
I have a Read-Only Reporting Async with a Remote Database defined to a non-mirrored database on the primary failover member. I would like to update the non-mirrored database on the primary from the async; so far all my attempts fail with *protect* errors.
I exported selected globals from a Cache 2017 database into a single 4 Gb gof file. Now I tried to import from this file via Management Portal on a different machine . Only about half of the globals was imported and my attempts to select additional globals led to nothing, no new globals have been imported. Well, obviously I am mildly curious what's going on and how can I see the corresponding error which did not appear in the Import window but I can also shrug it off and consider what should I do next.
I have this question for a long time. When I make an insert by SQL from an external application in the fields of type %String, if they are empty, it writes the character $c(0) in the global.
Is there a way so that if an Insert is received in a field of type% String with null value instead of the $ c (0) it leaves it empty?:
Caché running on Windows Server includes a built in telnet service. Unfortunately though telnet is a plain text protocol, which generates a security violation from our network security scanner. Is there a way to replace telnet with SSH to connect to a Caché system running on Windows 2012 R2?
We've our Cache running on Windows 2012 Server, but I've a Macbook Pro. Earlier I was using Miscrosoft Remote Desktop 8, to remote into our Windows server & everything worked.
Since version 8 is discontinued, I installed Microsoft Remote Desktop 10.5, which works for everything except starting Terminal.
I get error 'NTI Connection Error'
(287) Error writing to Pipe Reason: (998) Invalid Access to Memory Location.
If I do remote desktop from Windows machine (using same credentials), it works.

This is my query:
select DateTijdSec from GLPPatTcActie where pnr = '27085070017' and LTestId->Makey='BLA' and VerzamelDatTijd < '2021-03-04-2021 09:04' and glpactieid->makey in ('TAV','TMA') order by DateTijdSec desc
Most likely there is a wrong date time in the table, how can i get the data?
