I am regularly contacted by customers about memory sizing when they get alerts that free memory is below a threshold, or they observe that free memory has dropped suddenly. Is there a problem? Will their application stop working because it has run out of memory for running system and application processes? Nearly always, the answer is no, there is nothing to worry about. But that simple answer is usually not enough. What's going on?

It will take place on November 16 in the afternoon, from 12 to 14 PM, at the Westin Valencia hotel – the same place and day as the InterSystems Iberia Summit, which will be held there during days 16 and 17.

Afternoon all,

Is there a way (at SQL level) to script out the definition of a Cache stored procedure from within SQL?

In SQL Server, I would do...

Select * from INFORMATION_SCHEMA.ROUTINES where ROUTINE_NAME = 'my_sproc_name'

But cant find anyway to do this in cache.

Note, its an old version of Cache, so "INFORMATION_SCHEMA" is not available.

I am trying to see the SQL definition in the sproc from SQL itself.

Hello ,

I want the datagrid to reflect values based on the value i select in the Combobox. How to pass value from the combobox to the

altJSONSQLProvider parameter and reload the datagrid ?

My combobox defines below method on change.

Use Fallback CSS mode

Hi everybody,

we have some legacy ZEN applications build upon CSS2 style definitions. We moved the application due to an upgrade to a newer version of cache (2017.2.1). Anyway I have in mind that in one of the prior relases css3 style interpretation was enforced by ZEN and you could explecitly tell the framework to use CSS2 by setting a global. Anyway I can´t found any hints in the docs on that. Does anyone of the %ZEN gurus have this in mind?

    • Reverse the entire input string.

Simple Way To Compare Streams

Is there a simple way to compare Stream data between two objects?

We have used $ZCRC to create a checksum and that seems to be work.

We have also read each line of the streams and compared them and that seems to work too.

We just think there has to be a simpler way than looping through all the lines of the stream.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Our team has created this step-by-step instruction to create application-consistent snapshots for InterSystems IRIS databases. In this article, we outline how to automate pre-scripts to pause I/O and flush buffer to disk and post-scripts to thaw I/O, as shown in the following figure:

I have tried many methods from super classes of %CSP.REST but I can't find a method I can override that will run after the %response object is created so I can set a header that is common to each implementation method. It's one line of code in each method to set the header but it would like to make it super easy, simple and just have a method that runs on, before, after the implementation method to set this common header (we want to return the API version in each responses HTTP headers.
