rest api authentication

How do you authenticate with a rest api? The rest api implemention allows us to add in the header Authentication: 'Basic ' + btoa(user + ':' + password) but it is not really secure as a user can inspect and with the right decoding tool see a user password

ZF(-100) and qpdf

Hi,

I have seen your post on using qpdf with the zf(-100) function and was wondering if you could be so kind to share an example line of code. I can use pdf from the DOS command line no problems with the following:

qpdf --encrypt test123 test123 256 -- c:\test\basement.pdf c:\test\basementenc.pdf

Trying the following from the iris terminal I get a RET=2 in messages.log and the PDF is not created.

d $ZF(-100,"/logcmd", "qpdf", "--encrypt test123 test123 256 --", "C:\test\basement.pdf", "c:\test\basementenc.pdf")

Kind Regards,

Jason

Hi Developers,

Watch this video to learn how UC Davis Health is implementing a centralized operations-monitoring and alerting framework to handle notifications across its InterSystems IRIS infrastructure using ServiceNow, an IT service management platform:

Let's say I have an InterSystems IRIS instance with 6 Namespaces:

  • Foo1
  • Foo2
  • Foo3
  • Foo4
  • Foo5
  • Bar

And the number of Foo# namespaces can increase at any time for a number of reasons. I need to ensure that they all have identical configuration globals stored in a DB called CONFIG, so I do the following in my configuration file:

[Map.%ALL]
Global_SYS=%DEFAULTDB
Global_SYS("CommonConfig")=CONFIG
Global_SYS("CommonOtherSettings")=CONFIG
Global_SourceControl=CONFIG

Hey Community,

Watch this video to learn how the InterSystems AppServices team migrated a data lake powering a suite of marketing reports off of Microsoft SQL Server to InterSystems IRIS, leading to such benefits as lower maintenance, better performance, and a better overall development fit:

Anyone here know if the Implementation Partner program is still open, and if so, is there anyone we can contact to get more details? I've tried reaching out via the form on the website, I've called and left a message, and then I called and talked to someone a few weeks ago who said they would "forward my info over", but we still haven't heard back from anyone. We just want to get more info on what it entails, but can't seem to get in touch with anybody to talk about it.

In our previous article, we have explored the most common Kubernetes components:

  • We started with the pods and the services we needed to communicate with each other.
  • Then, we examined the Ingress component used to Route traffic into the cluster.
  • We also skimmed through an external configuration using ConfigMaps and Secrets.
  • Afterward, we analyzed Data persistence with the help of Volumes.
  • Finally, we took a quick look at pod blueprints with such replicating mechanisms as Deployments and StatefulSets (the latter is employed specifically for such stateful applications as databases).

In this article, we will explore Kubernetes architecture and configuration.

InterSystems Platforms Update Q2-2024

Here’s our Q2’2024 quarterly platforms update. If you’re new to these updates, welcome! This update aims to share recent changes as well as our best current knowledge on upcoming changes, but predicting the future is tricky business and this shouldn’t be considered a committed roadmap.

With that said, on to the update…

I created %ZSTART, having just learned about it. I included some minimal code to test it, as follows:
%ZSTART
SYSTEM
WRITE "SYSTEM.",!
QUIT
JOB
WRITE "JOB.",!
QUIT
LOGIN
WRITE "LOGIN.",!
QUIT
CALLIN
WRITE "CALLIN.",!
QUIT

Now Terminal still works as normal, and sure enough I get "LOGIN" displayed, but when I start Studio I get an error message such as the following. I wonder what Caché ODBC has to do with it.

Hi

How do I view the .int code of a compiled class in VS Code?

I am trying to use gj::Locate and the setup works, the explanation is all fine but when i paste an error from the Error Logs into the gj::locate it firstly tells me that it can't find the .cls and when I paste in the .int reference in the text box where you can specify the class, method, line+offset it replies that it can't find the item.

This is something to do with the objectscript extension rather than gj::locate
