In my previous articles, one of the most exciting things about FHIR that I mentioned it's the wide range of possibilities that we have and not only for creating something but the ways to achieve this goal.
I have an sql outbound adapter. Sometimes we have trouble connecting to the database.
The timeout in develpment is set to 15 seconds in live it is 150 seconds as it is an always connected Buisness operation.
I thought adding E=S or/and X=S would suspend the message. Why does it not?
Is the only way around then adding something to the buisness operation itself/ creating a customised SQL buisness operation rather than EnsLib.SQL.OutboundAdapter?
Recently our team have been getting requests to pickup a large amount of data from API nightly (e.g. using ODATA to loop through pages) and placing that into MS SQL databases.
My question is, what is considered the best practice to get data from API and route to external SQL database WITHOUT persisting any messages/traces etc?
Countermeasures against SQL injection have been published on various websites, but we believe that it is possible to prevent SQL injection in applications using InterSystems SQL as well as other RDBMS by implementing these countermeasures appropriately. In addition, InterSystems Data Platform (hereinafter referred to as IRIS) incorporates several measures that make SQL injection more difficult than general RDBMS.
Let's say we have two serial classes, one as a property of another:
Class test.Serial Extends %SerialObject
{
Property Serial2 As test.Serial2;
}
Class test.Serial2 Extends %SerialObject
{
Property Property As %String;
}
And a persistent class, that has a property of test.Serial type:
Class test.Persistent Extends %Persistent
{
Property Datatype As %String;
Property Serial As test.Serial;
}
So it's a serial, inside a serial, inside a persistent object.
At LifeLabs, we are focused on our vision of building a healthier Canada! As the Software developer, you will be concerned with all facets of the software development process. You will be responsible for the design of application modules, maintain and deploy software applications to meet user and business needs.
Greetings to all!!!Suppose there is a table Mother (ID, Name) and Child (ID, Name, Mother), Mother in the table Childis a relationship.Let's say the task is to deduce the names of all the children whose their moms' names start with the letter 'A', I can do this in two ways in sql, and I can not understand the difference, the pros and cons that when to use:
I have a tablePane ZEN Component and I am trying to get a filter running on the Specimen Id / Lab Number. The SQL is fairly complex with 3 UNION ALL statements joining 4 tables and a couple of lookup tables.
How would I get the filter on SpecId to work for my tablePane? It's not automatically applying the filter for me so I think I need code something.
I need to generate a DDL file from a .cls class that already exists, the idea is to create a mirror table in SQL. Is it possible to do this export or do I need to do the CREATE TABLE manually?
Ran into an issue with our upgrade from HealthShare Health Connect 2018.1.3 to IRIS HealthShare Health Connect 2022.1, that I thought I would reach out about, I already have a ticket open with WRC and started a chat on Discord. We have a couple of MS SQL tables that I have setup as Linked Tables within Cache to query NPI, Patient Account Information, Visit information, etc... When we upgraded last week we found that within a day or even a half a day that we were having problems with our JDBC connections.
I have a persistent Document class that has a FileName string property and another Question class that has an optional one-to-many relationship with Document.
I'm trying to add a SqlComputed property to the Question class (docFileName) where docFileName = Document.FileName if there is a related Document or an empty string if there isn't one.
I'd prefer the property to be SqlComputed so that if Question.Document changes, Question.docFileName will automatically update.
Given a complex method flagged with [ SqlProc ] so it is available as an SQL stored procedure, what's the best way to report a non-system error detected in that method - say, for example, an error %Status - so that the SQL query calling it fails descriptively? Is it best to create and throw an exception, or are there special % variables involved (like in a trigger)? I haven't been able to find an answer in the documentation.

Sometimes when we develop a mockup or PoC there is a need for a simple interface that will provide data in IRIS in JSON against SQL queries.
And recently I contributed a simple module that does exactly that:
accepts SQL string and returns the JSON.
How to install? Just call:
zpm "install sql-rest"
If you install it in a namespace X it will setup a /sql endpoint to your system that will accept POST requests with SQL string and will return the result for you for the data available in the namespace X.
We have 1lakh records in table and while using sql select statement , it is taking more than 9mins to 12 mins to get the records. could you please how to optimize this performance issue if we have more records. how to optimize it.
I'm working in an application that uses %SIMILARITY to find matches among a set of documents that vary greatly in length. It's generally good but I've noticed issues with ranking short partially-matching documents over longer documents that match the search string entirely.
Attached to this post is a PDF document outlining some of the key enhancements included with 2016.2. I will be giving a WebEx session that is open to all tomorrow at 11 AM EST. Once the WebEx is over I will be adding a link to the recording for those who cannot attend.

Hi, I'm a student, weak programming. I ask for your help, I write a program in C #, there are two tables, but I do not understand how to organize the connection between them many to many. Table in DataGridView1 from DataSet1 on Form1 key connection in DataGridView1 from DataSet1 to Form3
I use the HS_IHE_ATNA_Repository.Aggregation table a lot. Someone just referred me to the HS_IHE_ATNA_Repository.Document table, which has an AggregationId column.
I assume that column references the ID column in the .Aggregation table. If so, does this mean that if the same document was requested 1,000 times that there will be 1,000 entries for it in the .Document table? This seems inefficient to me. Why not have one record in the document table and have a DocumentId column in the Aggregation table?
