Component registration

When registering the components: I used this command:
"Utils.migrate("/external/src/CoreModel/Python/settings.py)" ;
The error appears: "An error has occurred: iris.cls: error finding class",
I changed with these two lines:
result = subprocess.run(["iop", "-m", "/external/src/CoreModel/Python/settings.py"], stdout=subprocess.PIPE, stderr=subprocess.PIPE, check=True)
subprocess.run(["iop", "-m", "/external/src/CoreModel/Python/settings.py"], stdout=subprocess.DEVNULL, stderr=subprocess.DEVNULL, check=True)

Configure IRIS using Python

I am trying to configure IRIS using python. The first task I wanted to do it change the journal directory. I cannot figure out the right way to work with the Config.Journal class with python. I can get the text to query the current setting.

returnValue = dbnative.classMethodValue("Config.Journal","GetList")
print(returnValue )

But I don't see a straightforward way to parse the $List returned by GetList() I was hoping there was an easier way.

How do I

1. Query configuration parameters?

2. Set configuration parameters?

Using python?

Hence the question: is there a way to do that?

The goal is to get data (from half a thousand to 3-4 thousands lines) from DB, calculate standart deviation then use it as logical condition in analyzer.

For example IF std > custom_value = show_the_result ELSE null

There is a STDDEV(MDX) method used in Analyzer but it is a measure and it can not be used as logical condition (correct me if i am wrong)

Hi all,

Does anybody have the same issue?

$ZF(-100) to run python script not work when directly execute in studio or in storedproc called by TrakCare, but can work when do in iris session.

The python script imports a "barcode" package. It seems that when directly execute in studio or in storedproc called by TrakCare, the package can not be imported.

1. Purpose and Objectives

In previous"Part I" we have set up a deep learning demo environment. In this "Part II" we will test what we could do with it.

Many people at my age had started with the classic MLP (Multi-Layer Perceptron) model. It is intuitive hence conceptually easier to start with.

IRIS Python Native API in AWS Lambda

If you are looking for a slick way to integrate your IRIS solution in the Amazon Web Services ecosystem, server less application, or boto3 powered python script, using the IRIS Python Native API could be the way to go. You don't have to build out to far with a production implementation until you'll need to reach out and get something or set something in IRIS to make your application do its awesome sauce, so hopefully you will find value in this article and build something that matters or doesn't matter at all to anybody else but you as that is equally important.

Introduction to Django part 2

In the first part, I've shown how to start a new project on Django, as well as define new models and add already existing models.

This time, I'll introduce an admin panel, available out of the box and how it can be useful.

Important note: do not expect that if you try to repeat actions from this post it will work for you, it does not. During the article, I had to do some fixes in the django-iris project, and even in DB-API driver made by InterSystems to fix some issues there as well, and I think this driver is still in development, and we will get more stable driver in future. Let's decide that this article only explains how it could be if we would have all done.

I'm after some more in-depth information about how the embedded python is implemented with regards to how it works when a python method is called from a CSP page. Will it run in the same Windows process? Will there be any issues with multitasking (considering python doesn't seem very good at this)?

Also, is there a performance penalty to pay for running embedded python vs "using IRIS APIs from Python".

Another question is what python interpreter the embedded python is using? Is it an Intersystems one or the regular c.python? Version?

Excited to go Python!

DNA Similarity and Classification was developed as a REST API utilizing InterSystems Vector Search technology to investigate genetic similarities and efficiently classify DNA sequences. This is an application that utilizes artificial intelligence techniques, such as machine learning, enhanced by vector search capabilities, to classify genetic families and identify known similar DNAs from an unknown input DNA.

Recently, I come up an idea in my mind that how can I put my playlist on IRIS.🧐

At the same time, I was told to pay for my Spotify subscription💸💸... ooo.. how about to get some data from the Spotify API... so I started to do study about it.

I am writing a Python tools I want to access the %Monitor.System.License properties:

  1. AvailableDist
  2. AvailableLocal
  3. MaxUsedDist
  4. MaxUsedLocal
  5. CurrentUsedDist
  6. CurrentUsedLocal

Initially I want to develop Objectscript to verify access to the properties. But I can not figure the proper syntax.

I first attempted:

set ans = ##class(%Monitor.System.License).AvailableDist

which failed.

I tried another approach:

set ans = ##CLASS(%Monitor.System.License).%GetParameter("AvailableLocal")

Using the below python script I am getting :

run()

When looking at the "Current License Usage Summary" web page, there is a line for both local and distributed "Maximum Connections". I have scrutinized every class that seems reasonable to contain this information but have found nothing that matches the values on the web page. I do not believe these are related to license specifically though I did review all of the potential attributes of the license related classes to no avail.

Making a blog using Python + IRIS Globals

Since I started to use internet (late 90's), I always had a CMS (content management system) present to make easier post
any information in a blog, social media or even an enterprise page. And later years putting all my code into github I
used to document it on a markdown file. Observing how easy could be persisting data into Intersystems IRIS with the
Native API I decided to make this application and force myself to forget a little of SQL and stay open to key-value database
model.

Hello everyone,

Recently, I've been working on a Business Process that processes a large JSON FHIR message containing up to 50k requests in an array within the JSON.

Currently, the code imports the JSON as a dynamic object from the original message stream, obtains an iterator from it, and processes each request one at a time in a loop.

For a long time I have wanted to learn the Django framework, but another more pressing project has always taken priority. Like many developers, I use python when it comes to machine learning, but when I first learned web programming PHP was still enjoying primacy, and so when it was time for me to pick up a new complicated framework for creating web applications to publish my machine learning work, I still turned to PHP.

Hi, Community!

In the previous article, we introduced the Streamlit web framework, a powerful tool that enables data scientists and machine learning engineers to build interactive web applications with minimal effort. First, we explored how to install Streamlit and run a basic Streamlit app. Then, we incorporated some of Streamlit's basic commands, e.g., adding titles, headers, markdown, and displaying such multimedia as images, audio, and videos.

Later, we covered Streamlit widgets, which allow users to interact with the app through buttons, sliders, checkboxes, and more. Additionally, we examined how to display progress bars and status messages and organize the app with sidebars and containers. We also highlighted data visualization, using charts and Matplotlib figures to present data interactively.

In this article, we will cover the following topics:
