InterSystems IRIS is a Complete Data Platform
InterSystems IRIS gives you everything you need to capture, share, understand, and act upon your organization’s most valuable asset – your data.
As a complete platform, InterSystems IRIS eliminates the need to integrate multiple development technologies. Applications require less code, fewer system resources, and less maintenance.

Hello All,

I have been using IRIS / Ensemble for over a decade and appreciate lot of it's functionalities and features, however besides having a UI of 80's era (which doesn't bother me), what I believe where IRIS is lacking is lack of out of the box connectors (services/operations).
If we look at IRIS's competitors for eg Mulesoft, Talend, Boomi they all have hundreds of pre-built connectors for major applications like Salesforce, SAP etc and cloud services like Azure, AWS etc to store and retrieve information and data.

Just to give an idea here is a link of Dell Boomi connectors

Hi!

As Atelier for Eclipse seems that will be discontinued, I decided to start moving my coding environment to Visual Studio Code. I kind of like it, and I'm getting used to it.

But I can't find the way to have several server connections as I do in Eclipse, and so creating projects based on that servers. Is there any way to do it?

Thanks a lot

The InterSystems IRIS offer many options to deploy digital services running in IRIS. Your option will depends if you use IaC (my preferred option) or no.

If you use IaC, the options are:

1) IKO - InterSystems Kubernetes Operator: this is InterSystems extension to Kubernetes container/docker management and orchestration tool that facilitate create IRIS clusters in the Kubernetes. See more info in: https://docs.intersystems.com/irislatest/csp/docbook/Doc.View.cls?KEY=AIKO.

2) ICM - InterSystems Cloud Manager: this is a provision tool to versioning and config docker deployment into public cloud or

Did anyone run into this error when stopping a Production from Ens.Director?

Ens.Director::StopProduction => ERROR <Ens>ErrProductionNotQuiescent: IRIS can not become quiescent

It happens sporadically when an automated unit test from a class that extends %UnitTest.TestProduction runs a test on a Business Process. I already increased the parameter MAXWAIT to 30 seconds, but the error still happens.

IRIS is an excellent option for machine learning projects with massive data operation scenarios, because the following reasons:

1. Supports the use of shards to scale the data repository, just like MongoDB.
2. Supports the creation of analytical cubes, this in association with sharding allows to have volume with performance.
3. Supports collecting data on a scheduled basis or in real time with a variety of data adapter options.
4. It allows to automate the entire deduplication process using logic in Python or ObjectScript.
5.

This is the third post of a series explaining how to create an end-to-end Machine Learning system.

Training a Machine Learning Model

When you work with machine learning is common to hear this work: training. Do you what training mean in a ML Pipeline? Training could mean all the development process of a machine learning model OR the specific point in all development process that uses training data and results in a machine learning model.

So Machine Learning Models are not equal Common Applications?

In the very last point it looks like a normal application.

Hi Developers!

As you know the application errors live in ^ERRORS global. They appear there if you call:

d e.Log()

in a Catch section of Try-Catch.

With @Robert Cemper's approach, you can now use SQL to examine it.

Inspired by Robert's module I introduced a simple IRIS Analytics module which shows these errors in a dashboard:

Hi Devs!

A few months ago I raised a discussion on the naming convention for ZPM modules.

And you free to put your name or your organization name for the packages you want to have your personal or company's brand.

But if you contribute to community, we suggested to have "community." package for all such libraries.

But the name is too long.

What if we use "isc." instead?  Which can be read as "isc ->InterSystemsCommunity". Short and unique.

What do you think?

Setting up Management Portal Help Pages for Full WebServers

On each page of the System Management Portal, there is a “Help” button.  This takes users to an article in documentation that describes the page functionality and use.

Caché provides local documentation for all of these articles.

InterSystems IRIS does not provide local documentation.  Instead, the Help button will redirect users to the articles in the online documentation at docs.intersystems.com.

My VS Code plugin "InterSystems Objectscript" upgraded to version 0.8.7 but the server settings no longer visible in extension settings and can no longer connect to our InterSystems server.

What has chnaged and how do we set the server connectio up? I checked the JSON file and it still has the settings as it was before but it is not connecting.

Screenshot of the settings json and then on the left a timer icon on the InterSystems icon and blue line running from left to right at top as it tries to conenct to server.

The offer of ZPM is growing daily and the short names and
acronyms of the offer are sometimes hard to understand and
also hard to type with my lazy fingers.

So I decided to have

  • a listing with the descriptions from the repository,
  • split in short junks to avoid backscroll,
  • controlled forward / backward scrolling,
  • the option to select my packages by number,
  • to install or uninstall with limited typing.

It runs with do ^zpmshow

A snapshot from the screen:

USER>d ^zpmshow

Hello Community,
I hope you're going well.

I am programming a daily reporting that will send by e-mail when people will add a dashboard as favorite by clicking on the star :

I asked Intersystems WRC on how to automatically generate a report with some line coding, but I heard there is no way to do this without a headless Browser.

I downloaded google-chrome to use the "--headless"  and "--print-to-pdf" function , to print the HTML content of my dashboard into a PDF.  ( I will use $ZF function to launch the generation ).

I also created a delegated application "/userPortal"  to be able to use the

I have to implement a custom query result to be returned using the FHIR Bundle Resource.

I am a novice and not well versed in InterSystems yet so please excuse mistakes due to ignorance.

I have to take the query result and return in a bundle to achieve this I need to:

  1. build the pages for the bundle from the query result according to the number of records per page configured or specified in the url
  2. store these query results using a state id
  3. when next page is request return records for the next page or according to the page number requested

Please, does anybody know how to achieve each of

GA releases are now available for the first version (v1.0) of InterSystems System Alerting and Monitoring (InterSystems SAM for short)

InterSystems SAM v1.0 provides a modern monitoring solution for InterSystems IRIS based products. It allows high-level views of clusters and single-node drilled down metrics-visualization together with alerts notifications.  This first version provides visualization for more than one hundred InterSystems IRIS kernel metrics, and users can extend the default-supplied Grafana template to their liking.

V1.0 is meant to be a simple and intuitive baseline.
