If anyone has a custom checklist of tasks that must absolutely be done when doing this upgrade to make sure everything is included and nothing is lost or destroyed, we would greatly appreciate it? We have the generic checklist provided on the support websites but we run custom build classes, ftp, tcp-ip, batch, etc.

A report that I need to create - I need to write a class method that will execute a few queries and save the data to a class and then return the data in a result set that can be used in the Logi report as a Stored procedure.

I can create the class method that is a Stored procedure and do the queries and manipulate the data, however I am having an issue at the end of the method to return the fields back as a result set.

Will it hurt anything if I disable the user that installed IRIS, within IRIS? Does this cause a problem with background processes running or with the restart? I know the _Ensemble user is used to start/stop/restart objects within IRIS, just didn't see anything in the documentation about the user that installed IRIS.

In my production already we have business components (business service , process, operations) and all are working fine.

Now I have change the package structure of few classes and want to update the references in settings for Business components in Management portal.

As this class field is read only , Any other way to update the class reference, instead of creating new business component?

Messages between Business Hosts in Interoperability Production often contain object properties.

Do you define and pass them as object properties or do you define and pass them as Integers with objects conversion where required?

The task is to find all globals that are referenced in certain routines. I could search for ^ using class(%Studio.Project).FindInFiles but that would also find ^ in comments and function calls. I can distinguish between a global and a function call visually, but it would be lovely to be able to skip function calls programmatically. Is it possible?

gj :: locate was the entry from George James Software for the Developer Tools competition back in April 2021. When an ObjectScript error is reported, gj :: locate takes the .int line location and navigates you directly to the line in the source file where the error originated. Over the past few months we've found it a very useful tool when it comes to debugging, especially when used alongside the Serenji debugger in Visual Studio Code.

Our first update, version 1.1.0, now includes support for multi-root workspaces. This enables gj :: locate to be used with every workspace folder. If your VS Code workspace has more than one root level folder, connecting to different namespaces or perhaps different servers, then gj :: locate will determine which workspace folder is current and locate the source code in that folder. If your workspace doesn't have any files open then gj :: locate will prompt you to select a folder from a pick-list.

This will particularly benefit VS Code power users who have workspaces with simultaneous connections to multiple namespaces, on multiple different IRIS and Caché servers.

If you would like to try it out then you can download it from the VS Code marketplace. Or if you’re already a user, then gj :: locate will automatically update. Let us know how you're getting on with it!

I'm trying to convert a python dictionary into an objectscript array but there is an issue with the 'arrayref' function, that is not working as in the linked example.
