I need to create a document with a root like this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<RCMR_IN200002FI01 xmlns="urn:hl7-org:v3" ITSVersion="XML_1.0">
...

</RCMR_IN200002FI01>

However, the CreateDocument in %XML.Document only allows namespace as an additional argument.

I did override this method, but trying to do something like

Do document.SetAttribute("ITSVersion",,"XML_1.0") only results an empty document with the <?xml> declation only.

I was asked about using date-based criteria in the file spec for an inbound file adapter.

It looks like the file spec field only accepts simple wildcards (*, ?), so I'm wondering if someone knows of a clever way of doing this preferably without creating a custom adapter/service class.

An example of the use case:
An upstream system continually writes records to a file named with the current day's date. At midnight it opens a new file with the new day's date:

In my project, I am calling a store proc on third party database. I am using SQL Gateway and ODBC. Everything is working fine until the store proc changed. In store proc they have changed the return alias name for a column. In Ensemble Snapshot I am not seeing the modified alias name until I restarted the whole Healthshare instance.

Here is my question, is there any other way? We do not want to take the instance down if it happens after we go live.

Is there an out-of-the-box or accepted standard method for loading up mappings between different code sets and then referencing these mappings (both directions) from DTL? First thought was the built in Lookup() and corresponding data tables but these only work in one direction (key -> value) and not the reverse. Obviously I can build my own classes to support a two way mapping but am wondering if there's a standard way of achieving this. The mapping should contain the code and display name from each of the code sets and allow mapping based on either code or display name.

We are in the process of using Ensemble for HL7 translations, and wanted to know is it better to use it on Linux Server or Windows Server? We are mostly a Windows shop but just wanted to make sure there is nothing we will be missing out using the Windows application.

I have Ensemble/Healthshare running in a production environment which is setup with a mirror failover and an arbiter sitting between them.

In the event of a failover we have a number of connections that need stopping/monitoring and starting in a certain order.

Is there a programmatic way we can detect the failover and stop certain services and operations immediately and then start them up again in the required order, checking their connection state before starting the next connection.

Installation

To install isc-dev , you just need to download and import the file isc-dev.xml from last release.
Some ways to import isc-dev .xml file:

• Go to Management Portal -> System Explorer -> Classes -> Import and select the XML file.
• Drag the file over Studio.
• Terminal command:

NS>do $system.OBJ.Load("yourpath/isc-dev.xml","ck")

• Get it from Package Manager Client:

NS>zpm
zpm: NS>install isc-dev

How to enable this feature:

• After importing the class in the target namespace, run the following method to set up the working directory:

NS>do ##class(dev.code).workdir("/path/to/your/working/directory/src/")

• Go to Management Portal -> System Administration -> Configuration -> Additional Settings -> Source Control.
• Select the target namespace and set the dev.FileManExtension class as the main one and save it.
• Try to create a new class in the studio and save/compile it
• Enjoy!

I used the operation : EnsLib.EMail.AlertOperation to send mail to handle error. However, I want to get more information about the error (session ID message, the date, the namespace... etc).

what is the best way to do it?

We have defined four BPL Business Processes. One gets occasionally errors when pool size is two. No errors happen with pool size one. The error happens on calling %Save() on a large objects with many references to other objects.

Error #5803: Failed to acquire exclusive lock on instance of 'classname'.

Error #5002: Cache error: <ROLLFAIL> %TRollBack+10^%occTransaction

The error happens on a particular large object.

Our FileService gets the same Errors #5803 and #5002 with class 'EnsLib.EDI.X12.Document'
