i have a issue in getting the complete file path when using the FTP Adapter in service. EnsLib.FTP.PassthroughService / EnsLib.FTP.InboundAdapter
I need to know the folder name (including sub folder) where the new file is found by the service when looking up for new files. The normal file class is working good as expected
More details below,
In the below two examples you can notice folder name is fetched by normal File adapter, but in FTP only the file name is available.
I'm thinking to try ChunkedWriter based on the documentation I'm reading to solve an issue but could use some clarification. Anyone that could provide a usage example of this down below?
We're doing a small data integration project at our university and I've run into a problem.
I'm trying to make a counter that records the amount of messages (a simple .txt file transfer) that pass through a process and dumps that amount into a text file (preferably with a timestamp) every 10 minutes or so.
What I've gathered it's possible to do it via SQL query but linking that query into a process is something I haven't found any info on.
Are there any semi-beginner friendly ways to do this?
I am in the process of trying to create a GIT repository and I am struggling to export all the relevant classes from Studio, as I only have access to Studio and not able to export via the Management Portal. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can export from Studio as one project to include all the relevant folders and its associated classes?
Are there also any recommended documentations/links you would suggest to help me get a better understanding of GIT and how it works etc?
I have created persistent classes for source, target XSDs and completed DTL. When I tested in DTL window by passing source xml it is generating below target xml as result.
I have a service that picks up jobs and process them, is there a way that I can cap the number of attempts to pickup a certain job eg. 10 times if no response then just discard ?
I am wondering if anyone would know where I can get a copy of the ASTM E1394 specification for an ASTM-XML file based instrument to LIS interface I am writing?
My manager wants to send a couple of people to one of InterSystems's courses about developing Ensemble productions. I work in a healthcare setting, but my group does not do much work with HL7 interfaces. We mainly use Ensemble to implement custom (non-HL7) interfaces and web services/clients.
I am looking into a way to make Ensemble work as an AS/2 interface. So I would like to ask, if anyode did ever make AS/2 work with Ensemble and what is the way to go.
I would like to know answer to the question: What would be an optimal way to connect an Ensemble and a pure Caché server? Optimally in such a way for the Caché system to be able to fire Ensemble processes and the Ensemble server to call Caché server functions.
I have a batch that uses the record mapper class .I would like to have a custom operation that will write this batch to a csv file .My operation has a batch as its request and I would like to read that batch data to a csv.So far here is what I have.

I am writing a class to take a general HL7 replace the non ASCII characters in all the segments to construct another message. I have the following solution working to an extent however it is inserting \r at the end of the segments that have been transformed. Firstly is this the correct approach and secondly how do I get rid of \r at the end of the segment that is affected?
I need to create a util function that loops thru every character in the data, execute a $ASCII() against it. If it falls outside the realm of extended ASCII we toss it.
the function should receive a string, execute a for...loop across it's length and use $ASCII to evaluate the character. Also the function should return an output argument that indicates if the string is UTF8 valid or not.
I have a SQL query that I want to run against MS SQL from cache ensemble using the SQL outbound adapter. If I run this query direct from MS SQL Studio it take about 7 seconds MAX and returns about half a million rows. The row only contains one column it is a number all same size and if I run this query in the production in ensemble it takes for ever the production finishes without getting the response back. The same query run in cache outside the ensemble environment writing results to a file it returns results taking about 3minutes to complete.
