File Passthrough Feeder

IRIS Interoperability Productions formerly known as Ensemble are fun to work with. Yes, I really think my work is fun. I have seen File Passthrough Services and File Passthrough Operations come in handy. At one point we placed test messages in files, then we utilized a File Passthrough Service with Inbound File Adapter to send the contents of the file as a Stream to a File Passthrough Operation with Outbound TCP Adapter. The Operation pointed at a TCP service and sent the test messages.

Later I wanted to troubleshoot another service that received file contents as the body of HTTP requests.

.csp API Session Management

Hey Intersystems Community,

I have a Problem with the Session Handling in .csp.

I wrote all my Web Services in .csp-Pages and do the work for example in the OnPreHttp Method for to get some data.

After that the Web Service response is in JSON.

I call These Web Services via fetch in my react Single Page application, also Many request parallel. The react App is Rolled out as index.html.
Everything Works Fine with the session Handling via Cookie.

Does sql query from CSP that causes web pages to timeout get logged into SQL Statements ?

Hello,

I have a csp that occasionally will show Timeout error.

 


I am looking at the SQL Statements tab of the SQL Explorer:

The Average time is around 1.4, what would cause the CSP page to timeout if the query average time is 1.4 while the CSPGateway Server Response Timeout and Queued Request Timeout are default to 60 seconds? Does sql query from CSP that causes web pages to timeout get logged into SQL Statements ?

Forwarding Requests in a REST Service

One useful feature of our REST framework is the ability for a dispatch class to identify request prefixes and forward them to another dispatch class. This approach of modularizing your URL map will improve code readability, enable you to easily maintain separate versions of an interface, and provide a means to protect API calls that only certain users will be allowed to access.

Overview

To set up a REST Service on your Caché instance, you need to define a dedicated CSP application and create the associated dispatch class that handles incoming requests. The dispatch class extends %CSP.

In the WRC, we often see customers who have encountered a problem viewing their SOAP Catalog pages in a browser. This article will explain why the error is being encountered, as well as suggest a fix. Dashboard - how to draw lines?

Hello,

I work on a dashboard. I understand basic html. I like to draw two boxes in different colors on the background. There will be multiple small boxes inside or over the boxes in the background. I defined the large boxes as <div> and the smaller boxes also as <div> inside the larger <div>. So far so good.

How can I draw lines with arrows between the smaller boxes?

Each small box represents a process that gets a number in a circle and a status indicator: green = okay, red = not okay.

Compiling file from command line, how to

How do I compile a file through the command line?

 

I am generating a very basic csp page in a bash shell, it is generating fine and displays what I want to see as long as I go into studio and compile it .  This defeats my purpose of having the page and I am having no luck figuring out what I am doing wrong.  I think the issue has to do with the file not being included when I compile from command line.

Ver is 2017 running  RHEL 7

 

From command line I see

ZEN and ZEN Mojo are no longer being actively developed by Intesystems - this is a great shame as it is a fine product that works so well for business applications.
However ZEN is a 15 year old product and I need a path forward to replace the ZEN UI with a supported development framework.

[Atelier][CSP] Problem debugging CSP file with Atelier

Hi everyone,

I have an existing application on HealthShare 2015 and decide to move it to HealthShare 2018 to make use of Atelier support. I am using Eclipse Photon with Atelier Plugin 1.3.

Most of things are working better on Atelier comparing with Built-in studio of HealthShare. However, when I tried debugging CSP file with Atelier I encounter 2 problems:

From a CSP file, I can open the generated *.INT file without any problem. But when I open the generated *.cls file it shows me the error:

CSP - Download file, manipulate and return as attachment

Hi All,

   It must be the groundhog days but I can't solve something that I know I've done before.  I have a legacy CSP page on a version of Cache without JSON and just pure Cache.

  I need a CSP page that takes a .xlsx file, manipulates the file (in COS) and then returns a new manipulated file.

  My CSP Page gets the file fine, the problem is then returning the response with the new file as an attachment.  I don't want to pipe to a new csp page with a different content-type so was sure I can set %response.Headers etc to get the reply stream I want.

REST for Tasks on my Status Report

I enjoy the challenge of being in a contest. Currently I participate in InterSystems IRIS with REST API Programming Contest. My idea for this contest was to create an app to help me keep track of tasks for my Status Reports. I started with the template provided by Evgeny Shvarov. I created a persistent class for Tasks and a REST Dispatch class. I defined my URL map and I even figured out how to test my REST app using Postman. I felt proud of myself for a little while.

%CSP.Page - proper way to change ContentType to display text error or return expected pdf content

I want to create a CSP page that returns a pdf. The pdf is identified by a pdftoken parameter.

My goal is to validate the token and return the pdf (ContentType=”application/pdf”) if the token is good and return a text error message "Bad Token" (ContentType=”text/plain”) if the token is missing or bad.

My issue seems to be associated with ContentType. I can define one ContentType that works for the pdf or the error message. I am unable to change the ContentType.

Any assistance is appreciated.

[JavaScript] Accessing server function/variable in JS file

Hi everyone,

I have a javascript function in *.js file. This function has to access to variable set by server.

I've tried setting the variable in *.js like this;

function dummy(){

var myText = '#(myText)#';

}

However it seems like the webserver doesn't understand this coding convention. The js file sent back to client set myText in dummy() with the hard-value #(myText)#. It's not the value of myText variable in server side.

I know I can achieve this by putting dummy() directly in csp file. However I have to put dummy() in separated file, so that other files can use it.

How to create a REST web application using a Installer manifest

Just like the title says, I'm attempting to find a way to create a web application that instead of serving CSP files, it uses a dispatch class.
I searched for clues in the documentation, but the CSPApplication tag seems to be exclusively for CSP file-based applications.
I'm trying to avoid implementing a workaround such as using the Invoke tag to call the Security.Applications to generate the web application but I might be forced to do so, even though it's unpleasant if I had to say...
So, is there an official way to execute this task?

CSP - using cspbind dynamically

Hi

I'm trying to create a form on a csp page, with input elements binding to data using the cspbind attribute.

All is working fine when i use string literal as in

cspbind="UserName"

 

But trying  to set the attribute to runtime expression  doesn't work for me, i.e:

cspbind= #(..EscapeHTML(query1.GetData(col)))#

 

 The same rt expression produce the desired string when used in other elements, i.e:

<p> #(..EscapeHTML(query1.GetData(col)))# </p>  

-> will produce 'UserName' on page.
 

Are there any known limitations for this attribute?   

I'm using version:

Cache for Windows (x86-64) 2015.2 (Build 664

JS Script doesn't work in CSP page

Hi, I try to do a JS script into a csp page for a Workflow

The problem is that in Ensemble i don't had troubles but in Iris don't recognize even the console.log inside the script

Whats the difference between the CLS files and CSP pages

Throughout my years working within HealthShare\Ensemble, I have been able to mimic the Data Lookup page trimming it down to give our Ancillary areas access to modify their own data Lookup tables.

I am currently working on building a CSP application to allow certain users to update MS SQL tables by going through HealthShare. I thought all I had to was create the CSP pages and grant access. I am able to access it off my desktop, but when I have a user try to access the application, they get the sign in but then it doesn't do anything.  So I think I might be missing something.

Uploading gif/image into CSP page

Ok so I am way outside of my comfort zone, and had to build an application using CSP to give users the ability to access SQL configuration tables. These SQL Configuration tables will affect the data that is sent to the downstream system. 

I saw in the examples where we were able to import GIF's/IMAGES into the CSP folders to use as a reference in our CSP pages. My question is how do you do that? If I try to import through studio, it tells me the file is invalid.

Just trying to make it a little more user friendly then blocks on a page.

We are currently using Health Share 2018.1.3

Custom Login Page for IRIS

When I tried to migrate one of ZEN applications to IRIS from 2018.1 I'm faced with the issue with Login Page, in this case used some ZEN page, completely customized. But when a user tries to get access, he gets the error like below.

The requested URL /csp/user/User.Login.cls was not found on this server.

I tried to test it with a fresh just created login page class

CSP front page to allow users to alter multidimensional tables

I have a case where I have an external table that lives out in MS SQL. Using Ensemble Security functions has anyone created a csp or cls page that acts like a portal to allow users to Update a multidimensional table without knowing SQL? I could clone the EnsPortal.LookupSettings but that was made for LUT which are only 2 columns.

 

 

I know its a long shot but trying to see if there was anything off the shelf that I can use to help meet the requirements of this project.

Cache Studio/HealthShare Studio: Unable to work on the studio after crashing.

Hi everyone,

I've encountered this annoying issue so many times before, if any one also encounter this issue, please share here if you have any solution.

So, I've been working on a web service project using HealthShare 2015. Sometimes I have to set a debug target to a csp file to debug it. If I pause the debug process about 3 minutes above or so (to examine an object, variable, etc..) the studio will hang.

After that, If I still try to click to the studio, the pop-up will appear to ask if I want to restart the
