I am currently trying to add a condition to a routing rule that uses the %Source property of a routing rule. Unfortunately I am getting compile errors when I use the "%", and if I get PROPERTY DOES NOT EXIST if I try and use any of field. I have tried referencing the messages as "Message." , "Record.", "FullRecordMapClassName." , "Document." . Does anyone know how to reference the properties of a record map in a routing rule, or if it is even possible? Thanks!

to redirect the output to the stdout. Somehow the javac has wierd behavior with the output on errors and verbose information.

How do I compile a file through the command line?

I am generating a very basic csp page in a bash shell, it is generating fine and displays what I want to see as long as I go into studio and compile it . This defeats my purpose of having the page and I am having no luck figuring out what I am doing wrong. I think the issue has to do with the file not being included when I compile from command line.

Ver is 2017 running RHEL 7

From command line I see

I have classes A and B, B derived from A, A has method Abc.

From INT of class B I see that compiler copies implementation of Abc to class B, so that Abc exists both in A and B.

As result, when B invokes Abs, B.Abs() is executed instead of A.Abs(). In result debuger is not able to step into Abs and breakpoints in A.Abs never hit.

Why this happens and how can I avoid this?

OK, now I know the reason: compiler makes the copy if Abc has this line:

We're trying to create a script that compiles everything on a certain namespace, for that we are depending on CompileAll. However it seems that this method doesn't check for a dependency tree even when using flags like: curb.

Here's my code (download):

Now, obviously for it to work I need method B compiled and ready to use before compiling method A().

In part of this post in 2016 @Eduard Lebedyuk asked if anyone knew what is meant by an "expanded class", as referred to in the text that appears when we run the ShowQualifiers classmethod of %SYSTEM.OBJ thus:

I have a class with two methods

Class Foo.Bar

ClassMethod Generated() [ CodeMode = objectgenerator ]

Since the method Generated is run before the class is compiled, the call to do ..Helper() fails. Is there a way around this other than manual inlining?

I wonder if you could help me? I have a regular cache class that accepts a variable number of arguments in one of the methods. It works fine so I decided to add a method to my web service to make the call to the cache class. I get a compile error on the web service with error#5130.

We found out recently that when compiling an objectscript class that has a java projection, using the -d flag, it ignores it for the projection part:

When overwriting the Read method (that has a %CacheString return type) on a new class that inherits %Stream.FileCharacter class, returns an error about incorrect return type, must be Binary, even if it matched the real signature.

Looking at the compile global information we can see:

After further investigation we realise that there is a generator method looking at the OdbcType class definition.

Setting LONGVARCHAR results in:

I have the following problem:

• There are several classes with method generators, which needs to be compiled during every compilation
• I have "ckub" qualifiers enabled in studio
• I don't want to remove "u" qualifier because I need it very much in another namespaces

So how do I force classes with method generators to recompile when "u" qualifier is present?

If I'm using an objectgenerator, is there a way to check the compile flags and have it behave differently based on which flags are set?

And as a tangent, is there a list somewhere of what compile flags there are?

What is the best way of importing new class files (.CLS) that Git has placed in my Atelier project folder?

I need to be able to do it from the command prompt as I want to script it.
