I need to split existing tables from database and put some parts of them into a new namespace. I dont know where to start, other than the installer.cls file. If you can provide clear instructions i would be greatful.
Example:
I have NAMESPACE=NEWTEST and DB
The i need to take TABLES from that DB pull specific data from them and bind it to NEWTEST
I have a number of Business Process and due to the complexity these were created as "custom code" instead of BPL.
These processes currently invoke other components using SendRequestSync. For a couple of reasons I would like to be able to change these to use SendRequestAsync:
Good Morning and thanks in advance for all replies. I have created a PowerShell script for backing up CACHE and all related files to be run on a nightly basis. My script works as long as the Unknownuser has %all access which is not acceptable in our production environment. I have tried every format I can thank of to get the script to use a specific id with no luck. How can I get this command to run under a specific id?
We are planning to use Caché users on a SOAP web-service, so the WS-security tokens will be used. It will be username and password only for now. The passwords should expire on a regular basis and this will be configured in the system-wide security settings. The consumer of the web-service should be able to change their password on-demand or when it has expired, via a web-service call.
For the on-demand change, I can create a service method which can be called by the consumer to change the password.
Set httprequest=##class(%Net.HttpRequest).%New()
Set httprequest.Server="www.intersystems.com"
Do httprequest.Get("/")
Do httprequest.HttpResponse.OutputToDevice()
Do httprequest.Get("/cache/")
Do httprequest.HttpResponse.OutputToDevice()
Is there a way to have a context property be available across 2 or 3 different business processes? For example if I am setting a value in a context property within one business process and want to use the same context property in a second business process, is this possible? Is this something that can be done with the "Context Superclass"?
I'd like to access and view the soap log. Apparently there is a global for that (^ISCSOAP) (http://docs.intersystems.com/latest/csp/docbook/DocBook.UI.Page.cls?KEY=...), but insofar I have been unsuccessful finding the exact cache command for viewing the soap log or changing it so that it logs both incoming and outgoing traffic. Can anyone enlighten me?
The company I work for has one software application that uses an IRIS database, with almost all the others using SQL databases.
On a SQL database, we can create local tables and create views. These are invaluable when it comes to reporting, and everyone here is quite up to speed with using SSMS to create functions, stored procedures, etc.
I'm designing a workflow for PHR via FTP. What I've done is create a single FTP adapter to pick up files from multiple customers. A router then accesses a lookup table and determines if a particular customer is allowed to send a particular message type to the state. If not, the message doesn't go out. It seems like everyone is against this approach (other than my CEO, thankfully), including Intersystems:
I have a requirement to replace $ZF("%ZSET_DIR","/hold/rsm") to its equivalent Cache Class. The $ZF("%ZSET_DIR") sets the Current folder equivalent to "cd" command in Unix.
I am a brank new cache developer. I am trying to create a new server, such as Samples, in the Studio and create a new namespace under the server, how do I do that?
I am trying to generate a custom error-code using the following code
Class ISG.CommonBilling.Service.Test1 Extends EnsLib.HL7.Operation.TCPOperation
{
ClassMethod khalid() As %Status
{
Set tSC=$$$ERROR("10001","I am here")
write $$$GETERRORCODE(tSC)_$char(13,10)
write $SYSTEM.Status.GetErrorText(tSC)
}
}
I am using a %GlobalStream to create as % stream.Object and writing that to a file but for some reason when I run that on the terminal I get <PARAMETER>zWrite^%Library.GlobalCharacterStream.1 and no file is created
I have tried the following here is my code and still get the same result any help appreciated
I think I already know the answer to this but I thought I'd ask anyway. So the Node.js adapter allows you to perform operations directly on Globals. Does the InterSystems.Data.CacheClient.dll or InterSystems.CacheExtreme.dll provide a mechanism to access Gobals directly or are you accessing globals via Caché ObjectScript classes?
First time post, also a new Cache developer, hence the <Beginner> tag.
If our data has Predefined terms in a dictionary, and a user can add terms on their own, can the terms exist in different tables?
Lets call the tables "Terms" and the user data in "UserTerms".
If a third class definition has a property of "Term" can it not be either Terms or UserTerms?
I'm leaning towards using a Subclass strategy where the pseudo "Parent" (forgive me) is Dictionary.Term and the child is along the lines of Dictionary.Term.User
