Like many developers, I use python when it comes to machine learning, but when I first learned web programming PHP was still enjoying primacy, and so when it was time for me to pick up a new complicated framework for creating web applications to publish my machine learning work, I still turned to PHP.

Problems with Strings

I am accessing IRIS databases with JDBC (or ODBC) using Python. I want to fetch the data into a pandas dataframe to manipulate the data and create charts from it. I ran into a problem with string handling while using JDBC. This post is to help if anyone else has the same issues. Or, if there is an easier way to solve this, let me know in the comments!

I am using OSX, so I am unsure how unique my problem is. I am using Jupyter Notebooks, although the code would generally be the same if you used any other Python program or framework.

The world of Generative AI has been pretty inescapable for a while, commercial models running on paid Cloud instances are everywhere. Is there a way to search for a string or use of a function in all namespaces in one go.

Studio option "Search in files"/Ctrl+shift+F search all files in the current namespace. We have 13 namespaces and wanted to know if there is an easy way to search in all namespaces in one go.

It's been a while (and everyone is well-rested after Advent Of Code!) so let's run another round of Code Golf.

Your task is navigating in a grid-like labyrinth in a clockwise spiral pattern. As it traverses the matrix, it collects characters, revealing a secret message.
Your challenge: find the shortest, most elegant code to decode this spiral cipher.
Input:
1. A multidimensional string array with comma separated characters (n x n)
2. Starting coordinates X and Y

Output:
The decoded message as a single string

Many programming languages use the try-and-catch construct to handle runtime errors gracefully. If the code within the try block encounters an error, it will throw an exception to the catch block, where the error handling occurs.
