Sorry, somewhat of novice here, but how is a mac or a routine created into a binary or is there a way to hide your routines so that no other user can edit them? Like remove source code and have an executable?
I've extended the a class %JSON.Adaptor in my class definition and it contains the xData block MimeType of application/json. I got the error while compiling. Why this error occurs and how to resolve it
Well, now we got noPWS container with IRIS, and how to connect to it, simply, without any durable sys or files, using normal peoples way like Environment variables?
I'm pretty new to ensemble.I'm working on a BPL process where I need to retrieve a result set from an SQL activity, loop over the results, and call a web service. I'm trying to learn M programing for an Epic db class prerequisite. They said to download the IRIS Studio software to do the testing. I'm having a very difficult time finding information the language. I'm trying to run some examples that Epic has provided (like in below) but the compiler complains that it isn't valid. Of course, it doesn't tell you why it isn't valid.
I would be interested to know is it possible to implement alerts about messages (errors etc that show in message viewer or event log) to show in the SAM portal? So far I've only been able to see system alerts there.
Hello all, I am creating a REST API with a spec-first approach. However, I am using the try-catch method to handle any exception if any occurs. But whenever any error related to syntax or something occurs, we get internal server error
Anybody know if there is a ObjectScript kernel for Jupyter? Would be kinda interesting to testing scripts, etc. And since we kinda have the language runtime in the VSCode ObjectScript extension I wonder if that could be utilized fora jupyter kernel?
I'm receiving in one of our interface a XML file as a %Stream.GlobalBinary, and in the source Application that produces this XML file, the user sometimes add a special character that force the XML file to have the header encoding to UTF-8, instead of ISO-8859-1 :
there is a setting in VSCode "objectscript.export: {noStorage: ture} " allow export cls from server to client, without storage definition.
However, wheneven I complied and save cls in my vscode client, the storage definition was added back. If I don't want it, I have to deleted the part manually.
In a transformation (DTL) I create an XML and pass it to an EnsLib.EDI.XML.Operation.FileOperation.
The receiver does not accept an empty tag (eg <Analysis/>) that is created automatically if the tag has no values in underlying tags. I have tried with action='remove' in transformation and other things but it only clears the content.
Based on your experience, do you know any reason why IRIS would enter a deadlock/hang state ?
When such thing occurs, it's no more possible to connect to Portal or Studio, despite IRIS service (IRIS.EXE processes) being still active. CPU/memory/network usage are usually very low (eg: it does not occurs because server is overloaded). The only fix is a full restart of IRIS (eg: by clicking on IRIS icon in notification toolbar and choosing appropriate action).
Attempting to setup an outbound (I'm querying out, not querying the IRIS db) SQL connection. I am connecting to a PostgreSQL database, name "hl7interface".
I have setup the odbc.ini file at /usr/local/etc with the following contents:
Can %Service_telnet be enabled programmatically? I have the need to enable this feature so that I can automate a script I have for Cache, but unless the telnet service is on, the session cant connect.
i need help to access to a Global like ^name over ODBC (SQL) i will visit this global in a loop from a php site. It a access over SQL or ODBC possible?
I know that you can use Do $SYSTEM.SQL.Schema.ImportDDL() to insert sql files into IRIS however I was wondering if there is a way that I can upload .sqlite files into iris? I have about 20 .sqlite files that I need to get into my database. I tried using the ImportDDL method but it said "SKIPPING non-SQL SOURCE:"
I have a situation where I am writing to global from different processes - let's call it an Event Queue. There is then a different process that uses $order to read through the data - the PubSub processing BP.
Sometimes the writing of this global will form part of a transaction that also insert data into other tables, using tstart and tcommit. If there is some issue, it will roll back, and the entry written to the global will also roll back.
When creating the db using the Properties array, if I use a literal like "/iris/db/<instance name>/<directoryname>" it's created in the correct directory.
set Properties("Directory")="/iris/db/InstanceName/DirectoryName"
