Forgive me if this is a rather low-level question - I am a physician informaticist who is learning cache/mumps for the first time. I am sure this probably relates to some setting but I can't find a similar issue anywhere.
When I create a list, and then try and return that list - I get a bunch of symbols back along with my results, or sometimes I just get symbols.
I pasted a screenshot below. Thank is advance for the help!
I've been trying for a while now to get OS authentication working on IRIS running on Ubuntu 20.04 and subsequently 22.04. I have the following authentication methods enabled for %Service_Terminal:
Operating System
Password
Operating System Delegated Authorization
And i have these options selected in Authentication/Web Session Options:
How can I connect using the Terminal to a remote server?
I changed the server indication on the Healthshare icon on the Windows toolbar.
The management portal works but not the Terminal. When I open the terminal it displays only some information about the server ("SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_7.2p2 Ubuntu-4ubuntu2.2"), but it doesn't give the possibility to log in.
I was wondering if anyone had any input on how to troubleshoot classes in a terminal session? I'm currently writing an "adapter" so that way we can encrypt and decrypt files through GNUPG (PGP keys).
I need to find a solution for a client that has ZEN based application. Certain parts of this application remained Terminal based for which a unsigned Java applet was used to embedded this within the application. The control is old and requires an old version of Java which IT folks are not happy about.
I am looking for a replacement that will allow a terminal, either telnet or directly use cTerm, window to be embedded within a web application, specifically ZEN, based on Cache. Any suggestions or success stories would be welcome.
I am using the free Intersystems Cache installation (CachePCkit V2017.1) on Windows 10 for my own use & personal development. I am writing routines in Studio & running them in the Cache terminal TRM:3672 (TRYCACHE). From a routine, how do I control print position within the terminal screen. I have tried using $X and $Y but this does not work and I cannot find what I need within the Cache terminal documentation.
Hope this question is not too simplistic for Members. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
I just tried to log into our QA server and connect to Terminal (v 2013.1).
I can type in my username but when I attempt to type my password, no characters are typed. When I press ENTER the password is invalid.
I can connect to the management portal and the studio development environment without any problems. Also, I do not have this problem when connecting to the terminal in our production environment (2010).
Does anyone know what can cause this type of problem?
would like to know how to execute deployments through cache terminal..Are are there any function or scripts available for deploying ? Is there any direct cache command similar to GUI-deploy that will deploy ?
I need to get the source code of a class installed on a remote server. I have no Studio or Atelier access to it but I can manage REST and Web terminal access.
Have enabled LDAP for our numerous , Ensemble, IRIS and cache instances with many namespaces. All is working fine and the ldap logins work.
But have noticed that the first instance that the user logs into the namespace is assigned to that user, but when that user than logs into another instance the default namespace from the first login is still there and doesn't update to the new namespace.
So this doesn't effect the ldap login but is now effecting the terminal logins where the user is now getting access denied.
I am writing a report for a client that will create a report of the current process with a format that mimicks the Management Portal process display. I am writing a cterm script file to generate the report.
In the loop that process the results I am writing the columns in a formatted manner that will result in a CSV format very similar in content and order the process page. However, it appears that the write statement is limited in size such that I can not write out all of the elements of the sys.process query. My query result processing that works correctly is of this format:
Visual Studio Code, like Atelier, connects to IRIS through the Web Server and a web service, unlike Studio that connect to the SuperServer port.
What about the VS Code terminal? Does that open a shell with SSH or does it also use a web service?
In other words, does an IRIS developer using VS Code need direct access to the IRIS instance with SSH or the SuperServer port, in addition to the external or private web server to execute terminal commands?
