I'm looking for a way to run ZPM (especially install) in a total silent mode with no output.

I tried -quiet flag but it continues to chat to me like my wife.

XData blocks in Caché classes has a MimeType property, and dcoumentation says

MimeType — The MIME type (more formally, the internet media type) of the contents of the XData block. The default is text/xml

If I were trying to access an index of a global variable, what time complexity would this operation have? My understanding of languages like Java/C++ is that arrays are stored as blocks of memory so that x[15] would have a lookup time complexity of O(1) because it just goes to (address of the array + 15) and retrieves the value stored there.

How does this work in Cache where the index of a variable isn't necessarily an integer value? If I were to have a variable like the following:

x("Adam") = "Red"

x("George") = "Blue"

x("Bryan") = "Green"

etc...

I've been trying to write a method to compare two local variables, which may be arrays, for "equality" - that is, to see if they have all the same subscripts (if they're arrays) and values. This is the best I've come up with so far - are there any better/simpler approaches out there?

Does anyone know of a library that can be used to create Mock objects for Objectscript classes?

Right now, my team has been building mock objects by hand to help circumvent dependencies when writing and executing unit tests, but I always wondered if someone had ever created a Mock library like Mockito to help quicken the process.

My goal is to serve files using REST classes only (no filesystem should be used), and I am a halfway far from it.

What I am succeeded in, is serving character files (html/css/javascript/etc) using the next approach:

It is my understanding that when a routine accesses a global it is temporarily stored in global memory. While the global is within global memory, any other routine would be able to readily access the global from memory and not from disk so long as the same node is being utilized.

I have the variable with literal.

Can I understand with ObjectScript that the literal is:

%String,

or %Integer,

or %Date,

or %Double,

or %Numeric?

What I'm looking for could be:

set variable="To be or not to be"

Is there any ObjectScript or a basic function that takes a string and separates it into words + punctuation/spaces array/list? Just not to reinvent the wheel. Say, process "It is a test, after all" into "It", space, "is", space, "a", space, "test", ", ", "after", space, "all". Or something to that effect.

Can anyone please provide me with a guide I can follow to create an entry in Cache's SSL/TLS configuration that would allow me to "speak" to an website via the Post method using SSL.

I need to simulate functionality that is provided by my browser but from with Cache.

The topics I have are:

1. From where do I source the certificate that will be used for this process?

2. What processing must I do on it to make it acceptable for Cache's SSL/TLS

3. What settings are required when filling the the form

I have a quick question regarding swizzled objects.

I have an original object, say Object a, I am working with.

I set a property a.something.somethingother.somethingelse.myNewProperty to some value x.

Then at some point I am saving a and continuing to work with it. I assume here by saving a, I saved myNewProperty as well. (as it should work)
