GA releases are now available for the first version (v1.0) of InterSystems System Alerting and Monitoring (InterSystems SAM for short)

InterSystems SAM v1.0 provides a modern monitoring solution for InterSystems IRIS based products. It allows high-level views of clusters and single-node drilled down metrics-visualization together with alerts notifications. This first version provides visualization for more than one hundred InterSystems IRIS kernel metrics, and users can extend the default-supplied Grafana template to their liking.

I have just started to experiment with Using IRIS in Docker.

My first objective was to be able to enable global persistence within a Docker container. Using the following command I have managed to achieve this:

docker run --detach --publish 52773:52773 --volume /data/dur:/dur --env ISC_DATA_DIRECTORY=/dur/iconfig --name iris21 store/intersystems/iris-community:2020.1.0.199.0

Within this container, I have created a simple global:

for i=1:1:10 set ^tmp(i)=""

Do you or does your team work with InterSystems IRIS or Caché? Then this afternoon's event will be interesting to gain additional insights and meet colleagues. The team of InterSystems will be there too.

The agenda includes sessions from both the User Group and InterSystems itself, and at the end of the meeting, InterSystems will provide a snack and a drink as usual. Participation in the user group and meetings is free of charge!

InterSystems announces another developer preview release, as part of the developer preview program for the 2022.3. Many updates and enhancements have been added in 2022.3 and there are also brand new capabilities, such as the new FHIR SQL Builder, improvements for Columnar Storage, and support to SUSE 15 SP4 and Oracle Linux 9. Some of these features or improvements may not be available in this current developer preview.
