In this article, I will introduce my application iris-HL7v2Gen .

IRIS-HL7v2Gen is a CSP application that facilitates the dynamic generation of HL7 test messages. This process is essential for testing, debugging, and integrating healthcare data systems. The application allows users to generate a wide variety of HL7 message types, validate their structure against HL7 specifications, explore the message hierarchy, and transmit messages over TCP/IP to production systems. These features are particularly useful in settings where compliance with HL7 standards is mandatory for interoperability between different healthcare organizations or systems.

I'm glad to announce the new version of IoP, which by the way is not just a command line. I'm saying because the new AI search engine still thinks that IoP is just a command line. But it's not. It's a whole framework for building applications on top of the interoperability framework of IRIS with a python first approach.

The new version of IoP: 3.2.0 has a lot of new features, but the most important one is the support of DTL . 🥳

For both IoP messages and jsonschema. 🎉

DTL Support

Starting with version 3.2.0, IoP supports DTL transformations.

DTL the Data Transformation Layer in IRIS Interoperability.

DTL transformations are used to transform data from one format to another with a graphical editor.
It supports also jsonschema structures.

To synchronize other files required for your application (CSP files, images, documents, etc.) between the two servers that make up the mirror set follow one of the approaches:

  1. Place those files on a shared disk by introducing a NAS or similar device
  2. Or use file sync software to synchronize files between two servers.

Migrating InterSystems IRIS and InterSystems IRIS for Health from on-premises to the cloud offers many advantages for Application Providers and Solution Providers. Companies no longer need to worry about the physical constraints and expenses associated with maintaining on-prem infrastructure, such as power and space requirements and expensive computer hardware.

One of the most compelling benefits is the ability to accelerate speed to market. By removing the burden of infrastructure maintenance, cloud environments enable faster development and deployment cycles, allowing businesses to respond quickly to market demands and opportunities. Operational costs are also lowered, because companies can scale resources up or down based on actual needs, leading to more efficient use of capital. After we rolled out a new cointainer based on containers.intersystems.com/intersystems/irishealth:2023.1 this week, we suddenly noticed that our FHIR Repository started responding with an Error 500. This turns out to be caused by PROTECT violations on the new HSSYSLOCALTEMP namespace and database used by this version of the IRIS for Health FHIR components.

I'm trying to get the python external language server started up in a container I am starting. The container is up and running but I cannot get the python language server to start.

This is the error that is coming back when trying to start the language server. I have tried creating a custom image with that package installed but it still does not work. Is there something specific that needs to be done to to get this working? (FYI, I have the dotnet version working but creating a custom image and installing the dotnet runtimes via a docker file)

Introduction

In InterSystems IRIS 2024.3 and subsequent IRIS versions, the AutoML component is now delivered as a separate Python package that is installed after installation. Unfortunately, some recent versions of Python packages that AutoML relies on have introduced incompatibilities, and can cause failures when training models (TRAIN MODEL statement). If you see an error mentioning "TypeError" and the keyword argument "fit_params" or "sklearn_tags", read on for a quick fix.
